Illinois is too cold for big cactus in winter. We have a moveable planter in the garage with no South or west windows. This light is bright enough to not just sustain but grow my cactus in winter.

Great for germination on basil,thai, thyme, and vegetation, will update with pictures once I get strawberry seeds and they flower, would recommend.

Got this as a first light over 2 years ago. Since then I've purchased PLENTY more. Here's what I've learned. This light is good for seedlings and clones. It provides decent ppfd but most of it isn't usable by the plant because of the efficiency of the diodes. These types of lights use a mixed LED array of inexpensive spectral diodes (common in budget grow lights), rather than specific branded horticulture LED diodes (e.g., Samsung LM301B). I say all that to say, if you want more than 14g, don't use this light ALL the way thru the grow. Get a light from a reputable brand with good diodes to use for everything after seedling. That being said, they work good as seedling lights but burns 100w unnecessarily.

I purchased one of these in late October. It puts out a good amount of light and the plants in the greenhouse thrived with the light running for about 11 hours per day. The light does get hot, but I have a small fan in the greenhouse so I pointed the fan to help cool the light. The light seems to work very well for plant growth. Since it seemed to work well, I bought a second light a couple of weeks ago. However, the first light failed in less than one month-the blue LEDs work, but no red and white LEDs. The surface-mount LEDs are mounted on an aluminum plate so it's very difficult to try to repair any bad solder joints. The wires running to the aluminum panel had bad solder joints but repairing them didn't fix it. The two driver boards both work fine, so the problem is with the LED board. UPDATE: The seller contacted me and offered a refund to resolve my issue. I did NOT expect that, as I knew I was violating my warranty by attempting to repair the unit. My preference was to obtain a replacement unit instead, which the seller shipped and arrived a day earlier than expected. That is GREAT customer service for a grow light that is inexpensive!

This light gets INANELY hot even with two high powered fans directly on it and it also isn’t 1000w as advertised unfortunately. Yes it is cheap but there is apparently a reason for that. It gets hot enough that it burned my girlfriend’s finger when she was trying to move it to get our potatoes more light.

Es un gran producto me a servido bien solo que hace mucho ruido, de allí en fuera a echo muy buen trabajo
