Stunning bakeware to last a lifetime
This piece from Staub is a real beauty. Versatile as you can start cooking on your stove and then transfer into the oven. I recommend applying oil to the black cooking surface (as does Staub) and keep it clean and slick. An investment to last a lifetime, with proper care of course. *Note: in darker lighting the "dark blue" looks much darker than pictured. Definitely one of my favorite pans to bake with!

quality cast iron
You can't go wrong with Staub - always fine quality merchandise.I would warn that it is quite heavy - remember you have to take it (along with the food inside it) out of the oven.

Well worth every dollar!!!! A Must have!!! AMAZING cast iron baking dish/casserole pan!
One of the nicest pieces of cast iron cookware that I have ever seen! Made a squash casserole in it and it made a huge difference! Slapping myself that i did not get this sooner in my lifetime! Heavy duty, highest quality possible and beautiful all in one!!!

Beautiful Baker from Staub
Purchased this last year and hope to add the smaller baker to my collection. Not only is the piece beautiful, it performs incredibly well and is super easy to clean and maintain. Most people complain about the weight of cast iron - well, it's cast iron and it's meant to be heavy. That's like going to the pool and complaining because you got wet.Back to the baker - the color in the description does not do it justice. It's a beautiful, rich deep blue not the bright, almost-florescent blue shown.I christened the baker by roasting bones for home made beef stock. From stove top to oven, it was a breeze. There were a few stuck pieces after roasting. Just soak pan in warm, soapy water for about 5 minutes and clean up is done.Looking forward to a deal on the smaller piece.
