I have a big toe that has developed a pretty nasty fungal infection, so my toenail grows UP from the nail bed, instead of the way it should grow. My podiatrist has me on a Rx for it, but in the meantime told me to just file it down gently, as it affects the way my shoes fit. In filing it down the other day, half of the entire nail totally separated from the nail bed and broke off, leaving a literal hole in my toe. After cleaning it and putting some antiseptic on, I wrapped a layer of gauze around my toe and put one of these toe caps on. I was amazed...the color looks much better than the white or pink ones, and it's thin enough that I can still put a shoe on, but not so thin that it's not protected from any bumps etc. It stays in place perfectly and my toe is able to heal without any pain. My only issue is wearing it to bed...it gets caught on my sheets - so I just take it off for the night and slip it back on in the morning. Great that you can clean them and reuse, as well! I'm a fan....

The color was acceptable my problem was they were too large. I have had a big toe amputation and I love to wear sandals so I was trying to have a look that was not too startling. It would have passed with nylons and a different style sandal. But it was too large to fill out. With cotton balls. It would really look fake with too many cotton balls in it. I was using the cotton balls for texture. But I think a little smaller or the next size down would do it. Now I’m speaking from a female perspective, this might fit men as they are.

This toe covering is excellent- great purchase. It works, easy to put on, comfortable, you don't even notice it in your shoes and protects your big toe. I had a callous started on the bottom my big toe and thisprotects it completely. I forget I have it on. Highly recommended.
