Easy Load - Screw-On

I was really skeptical, oh so skeptical, but thought I would give it a try. I bought two and was prepared to hate them both and was prepared to be angry at the shipping charges and at the length of time they were supposed to take to get shipped to my door. Oh my goodness! First of all, the shipping, which was supposed to take 2 weeks, only took a couple of days. Secondly, these Easy Load Screw on devices are so amazing. We were getting delivered Culligan water and it was costing us more than $60 per month with the rental unit and 7 bottles of water and then, of course, and on the deposit. So, when we bought our $125 dispenser and 6 water bottles, I figured all was good, until it came time to flip the bottles into the dispenser. I think I dumped a good gallon or so onto the floor before I got them situated in the dispenser. We have hardwood floors, so I had to move the dispenser out each time and mop the floor and then move it back again. I was about ready to go back to Culligan when I found these little gems! I must drop about 3 drops of water when taking the bottles on and off. They work perfectly with the 3 and 5 gallon bottles--we have both. My husband is disabled and cannot lift more than 10 pounds, so the hoisting is up to me. I am a small woman--5'3" and weigh about 128 pounds, but with these Easy Load caps, I can manage it all myself with little effort and NO MESS! Thank you so much for this product--I totally recommend it. Oh, and for those of you who purchased Whirlpool dispensers--the regular size works just fine! Best of all, it costs us just $1.85 to fill one 5 gallon bottle with clean, refreshing reverse osmosis water! oh yeah!

Only problem is we have a very long stem on our water cooler. We are re-ordering the one with the extended cage but used this one with the 3 gallon water bottle tipped for a little while until the new one comes. Works exactly as described.

...unfortunately, it's poorly executed. I'm unsure of crocks, but a standard cooler has a rod that goes into the water bottle. On the delivery bottles, the rod usually pops a center cap (same place this ball sits) and lets the water flow once the bottle is in the cooler. The cap sits on the rod and the bottle usually will reseal itself if you take it of right. The solution is simple and yet, utterly brilliant. I had thought that this product would have done something similar, but unfortunately, it wasn't designed exactly right. The shaft that the ball sits in is not long enough to handle most cooler rods and the bottle is wobbling on a ball about a half an inch off of the sides of the cooler bowl that it's supposed to be flush to. Thankfully, I didn't try it with a full bottle.Honestly, I would love to recommend this product. I would LOVE for it to work with the screw cap bottles (48 neck), but while close enough to taste the solution I wanted so bad, this product falls short. DANG! In this case, an extra inch could have made all the difference in the world.

When I got a water cooler, I expected that there would be some standardization of the jugs. I'm not sure why I thought this, in retrospect. I suppose it was just naivete, like the way I used to believe some magical laundry fairy used to be the reason I could dump clothes in the laundry room and they'd end up folded at the end of my bed within a few hours.Pros: Forms a watertight seal on the 5 gallon jug to which it is attached. The ball in cage seems to function well and reliably with minimal leakage during the ever so risky "let's flip this and cross our fingers" maneuver. I mean I wouldn't trust this thing to suspend your jug from midair and use like a hamster bottle, but for that tenuous few seconds, it'll save your behind (from the inevitable fall on a slippery floor).Cons: At this time I'm not sure I can think of any.Overall: 5 stars, just because it makes a menial task so trivial.

This product does what it claims. We fill our bottles pretty full. When we get home we remove the cap and place this device on. The ball floats up and allows us to tip the bottle over with very little spillage. There are a few small drips so I flip it over on top of the water dispenser and have no problem. This is an improvement over having no way to stop the water from coming out other than being quick which doesn't always work.There will be a minute or two that the water doesn't come down. But it does eventually every time. The overall quality seems decent plastic is plastic.

I did a lot of research on this product and purchased it based on the specifications. It does not fit as indicated. My center post is 2 1/4 inches and this did not work for me.

This product well met my expectations. I got this July 3rd. I was waiting for the bottle on my water dispenser to empty. When I used this, not even a trickle spilled! I was surprised that this product did not slow down our cooler. There is an electric outlet behind our cooler which concerned us about electric shocks when changing bottles. If you have purchased Regalta water coolers, this item is definitely for you. I love the little ball inside it prevents water flow when changing bottles or turning them upside down! if you don't like spills when changing bottles,YOU SHOULD BUY IT!!!

I tried to use this on our refillable water bottle and found it was way to long. We have a standard cooler and it does not have nearly enough space. Would cost me more to return it than it was worth. Discarded product. Have no idea if it works or not. Be sure to measure your cooler depth before ordering.
