Short version, simply works and also has some helping audio beeps compared to my former original opener, the programming and pairing also seemed to be slightly easier, but I literally mean slightly, like one button press „less“.Actually I only write this review to share a little hint: when the guide refers to „press slowly“ it actually means „press and wait for the LED light to stop flashing before pressing again“. The pairing did not work for me until I figured that out as I pressed „not slow enough“. Assuming that the opener sends data throughout the whole LED blinking phase and pairing fails if interrupted.

Can't beat the price on this. Works well, easy to install. 1/2 the price of the factory branded one. Very happy with this.

It works with my old Overhead Legacy door. However, it takes about a second after entering the code before the door moves. The old keypad worked instantly (but it became very unreliable).

My original Genie keypad was installed with our Overhead "Phantom" garage door opener in 2006. The keypad started failing a few months ago. A fresh battery did not help. So I bought this keypad. I found the instructions to be a bit confusing. But after reading it a couple of times and looking at my garage door opener's controls (on the back), it was actually VERY easy to install. The code sync process worked the first time while holding the keypad about 15" +/- away from the opener (the distance did not seem to matter). The keypad is now mounted outside on the door frame and works perfectly. Great value. Hope it lasts 17 more years.

I've tried a couple of three different garage door keypads with my older LiftMaster garage door without success. This unit worked as advertised and has some nice features including lighted keypad and touch sound which is helpful feedback in bright light. Replacing a similar Genie unit that is about 15 years old. Highly recommend this keypad - affordable, functions well and easy to install.

It took multiple tries to program the PIN initially. You need to keep trying different distances from your opener, which means you must program before installing.Problem: several months later I need to reset my PIN for personal security reasons. To reset the PIN you basically factory reset and go through the install syncing/PIN setup. 1st issue - to do this I will have to unmount it and remount it. 2nd issue, if you can access my garage you can reset this. No knowledge of current PIN needed to reset.Don't buy this if you have any expectation of resetting a PIN, which there a lot of reasons one might need to do.

After one year, only the middle row of numbers was working. After 18 months, only the number 5. Warranty 3 years i contacted the seller and they sent a replacement, no charge. Back running in 2 days. Awesome warranty!!

Quality is ok. But be careful with programming. It took me forever to figure out that you don't hold it close to the opener, you have to move back 5-10 feet or more to get it to finally connect. I would not buy this one again because of that.
