Easy to use and has great catchability

It works--- caught a skunk living in my basement. Skunk ate part of the cover. I hope he got indigestion.

The fact that the back opens for placing bait was a feature I wanted. However, the skinny little bar that holds in shut is not strong enough. I finally caught the raccoon I was trying to get and it mangled the back, bent it open and escaped. I haven’t been able to catch it since then. I used carabiners to secure the back so that won’t happen again, should I actually catch the raccoon. I have been able to catch several skunks and I love that the waterproof cover protects me from spray. And because they can’t see me thru it, they generally don’t spray because they can’t see me as a threat. Over the course of time, several angry skunks have torn up the cover trying to pull it into the trap. I got a lot of uses out of it but now need to replace it. All in all it’s a decent trap at a decent price, but if you’re going to buy it, order carabiners along with it to secure the back so you don’t have the same problem I did.

High quality materials and construction. The plastic black cover is a great idea. Did not had to use it but the instructions were clear

No stars! Do not order this product. I don’t know who made the decision to sell this on Amazon, but they should be fired. Nobody looked at this product. Nobody in a customer quality care perspective. The item comes with no directions and is a flat piece of leather With a zipper on one edge. That is about 6 inches long. There’s no other zipper. No other way of connecting sides to make anything that looks like what’s in the product picture. If you were able to duct tape this together, I doubt you would be very happy if an animal got into it. Because they wouldn’t stay in for very long. The only thing I can guess is that this item is really for a totally different purpose that nobody knows about. I can’t imagine what you could use it for, but you definitely can’t use it as a trap for rodents. This pisses me off because I paid for the size and it’s too much trouble nowadays to return anything. So now whenever you get a lousy product like this, which is happening more and more often unless you’re very ambitious you’re stuck losing money. And Jeff Bezos continues to be coming a trillionaire. I guess I should be happy and honored just to buy his trash so that he can become richer than any human being should be. I’ll stop now because I’m starting to preach and that makes me feel as bad as it does you ciao

Once you get past the assembly ( took darn near two hours ) this cage works. I use it to catch and spay feral cats. Caught 9 on one week

This thing is worth its weight in gold. We had a skunk under the house tearing things up and spraying... nightmare! My tips are: 1. Secure the tarp well -otherwise the animal will shake it off (making the end phase much more difficult) 2. Place it right at the entrance/exit of the house. He didn't go for it when it was 5 feet away. 3. Block off other entrances/exits to the area (if you can). For me, it was taking away his other night feeding options. Luckily, mine was the house wall and a fence, so pretty easy to do that. Plus - if you don't, you will likely capture neighborhood cats. (We caught two of the them before we blocked it off). The other benefits are skunks are pretty nearsighted, so make it obvious for the critter... 4. The successful bait was peanut butter and honey mixture (in a paper coffee filter). 5. If you cover the cage with extra plastic tarps - you can then move the cage without him seeing you and our guy did not spray. We sealed up the opening in the house and were able to release him by opening the door with gloves on afterwards, about 25 yards away and he scurried out into the night. (Our animal control people said this was the recommended solution.) Good luck! You can do this... Why pay hundreds of $$$'s for a company to do this...?!

Trap never worked but I kept the gloves and cover to use with a Hav a Heart. They were worth it.

Purchased this to catch a cat so we could get it to vets as he was injured. Caught a couple of squirrels cat disappeared. I’m sure it will come in useful in the future.
