My wife and I had just ordered a new memory foam mattress for our bedroom. I needed to find a good mattress protector to keep it in good shape. After reading many reviews, I decided to give this one a shot. When it arrived, my wife unpacked it and decided to put it on right away. She was a little surprised, thinking that I had purchased a cover that slipped over the top of the mattress. This one totally wraps the entire mattress, which of course it better, but involves a little more work to put on. Overall, she was very pleased. She said that it fit like a glove in all of the corners and should keep the mattress like new (hopefully). Let's hope that this is durable and holds up over time. If it doesn't, I'll post an update, but for now we are giving this an A+.

The cover has a soft material on the outsides, and a plastic material inside lining it.-so it does not crinkle when you move around on it. I have spilled coffee on the bed and had to wash the sheets, and then dobbed the mattress cover with paper towels. so it does appear to be pretty waterproof-although I don't know about something bigger like a quart of liquid? I have allergies, and this cover seems pretty good about blocking the allergans. I have always bought inexpensive grocery store plastic covers (that last about a year before tearing), and so far this is much much sturdier and should last years.
