The BigTalk cards are a fantastic prop for facilitating meaningful conversations....with potential dates for those in the dating world...to engage children at the dinner table, especially with more family time during the pandemic...to getting to know your significant other and family members on an even deeper level. Because the cards range from less deep and though provoking to extremely deep, you can draw cards at random or, depending on the audience you are engaging with (e.g., a colleague vs. a family member), you could separate out the ones that might be too personal for a more causal audience. Regardless, they make it so much less intimidating to start the conversations and because you never know what card you'll draw, it makes it all the more enjoyable. These really help to keep you on your toes and get out of the dull routine of transactional discussions. I love to give these as gifts to the important people in my life! This product is a convenient way to encourage more meaningful connections in any situation. While I have gifted these to family members to encourage conversation, this can be used easily within school situations with kids, work situations with colleagues and romantic relationships with your partner. The small size makes it easy to take anywhere and the questions are understandable and easy to answer for any age level. Cannot recommend this product enough!

These cards are great for generating deeper conversations. I use them in training classes. They're also fun for parties and even date night. Nothing fancy, just questions on little cards.

I was told about the “Big Talk” concept by my boss since I work in a call center, and after watching the TED Talk and subsequent other videos about it, I found myself very intrigued! I was a bit bummed about the price, seeing as the cards were VERY tiny, but this quickly subsided when I started to see the true value and benefit they have in virtually EVERY life situation possible. These are not your normal “water cooler talk” questions. They make anyone you ask truly have to give genuine thought about there answer, which leads to more meaningful, genuine conversations! I would recommend EVERYONE buy Big Talk, it is truly life changing!

I don't have anything different to say from other positive reviews here. But I can offer a little suggestion for storage. The 0.14 Litre Really Useful Box that you might have hanging around the house 🧐will keep the cards in good shape to ask their questions for a good long time. I don't advise buying a one-off online for this particular purpose unless you're keen on it, as that would be rather expensive. But you might be ordering in the future or have ordered them in the past and have a way to match cards to box for mutual fulfillment. Come to think of it, you might run across a box at an office supply store where singles could be bought off the shelf.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Kalina, the creator of Big Talk, and learning about the movement. My passion is something I have labeled "human connection through vulnerability", so I was instantly intrigued by the many facets of Big Talk. I actually can't believe that it has taken me this long to purchase the card game. I can't stand small talk; it makes me uncomfortable and drains my energy. I'm excited to continue connecting with individuals on a deeper level, but now with my own deck of Big Talk cards! I already have a few ideas of how/where I will use them and I can't wait to begin my experiment! Package arrived much sooner than expected and in mint condition. I saw several reviews commenting that the size of the cards was problematic. To each their own but I personally love that they're small enough to hold in my hand because I can fit them in my purse and take them wherever I go (conveniently portable!) The size probably makes it less intimidating to strangers too, if you think about it. Thank you, Kalina!

The cards are great for dates. Most of the questions are thought provoking and a great way to get to know someone, even yourself. Despite the name, SMALL TALK IS STILL REQUIRED. Unless you're a therapist, asking these personal questions right off the bat to strangers can make them feel uncomfortable (or make you look like a creep, especially if you're a guy). Use your best judgment to work these questions into a conversation to get things going. As you can see from the photo, it's easy to take 1/4 of them to a party since they're smaller than business cards. My biggest detractor is the packaging. Even when I used a credit card to gently pry open the box, the flap still ripped. I now use a rubber band to hold them together, making the cards look cheap. For $24, you'd think more time was spent on presentation and quality.

Love these for so many reasons! Great evergreen gift for any occasion. So portable, easy to pack on trips. The small size makes them easy to tuck in your bag or luggage and is on theme. I read up on similar options and chose these because of the witty, convenient size and TED talk/concept behind them. I brought them for my first Christmas with a new boyfriend's family and they learned things about each other they'd never known. It was an Asian British family and one of them found the questions a bit intimate -- not sure if it was because I'm American and was new on the scene? I'm getting them again this Christmas for other British friends. I guess I'll find out!!!
