I have been planning to get an ice pick for a long time because I keep a big bag of ice in the freezer for drinks etc. and it always seems to clump together. This is a very sturdy ice pick. I really like that it has a secure, screw on cover for safety. Also the outside handle area is textured making it safe so as not to slip out of your hands. I think appearance wise it looks very nice, and could even be placed out next to an ice bucket at a gathering. Great value for the money spent. It’s a solid metal that seems like it will last a long time with normal use. It’s also very easy to remove the cover to use. I think it would make a nice housewarming gift (something you don’t usually think of) along with an ice bucket and cocktail glasses.

Exactly what I ordered the size of it is good for practical use, has an easy to remove twist cap for when you either are trying to use it or putting it away, the stainless steel feels strong, the grip texture is good enough for barehands as well as gloves, and it’s a decent price.

Excellent choice. Very sharp, sturdy, non-slip. Does what it says. The screw on cover is a big plus and makes storage safe. I returned an inexpensive one that was useless. This ice pick is worth the price. Unless you need one that is longer I highly recommend this product.

A very sturdy product. a little bigger than I anticipated. Have yet to use it, but it feels sturdy and capable of doing anything I would use it to do.

This is a well made ice pick that should last forever. I love that it’s easy to grip and that it comes with a screw on top for safety.

Arrived quickly and just as described. Some of our salt water species of fish can be a bit toothy and nasty when they are harvested, so I opted to use this device as a brain spike to quickly dispatch my catch. The protective spike "shield" is also metal and in a salt water environ, metal seems to break down and corrode. To prevent this, I have used a small amount of Vaseline to lube up the threads and inhibit moisture during my outings. Light weight but quite robust and the spike's sheath will prevent unintended self-injury. The textured knurling ensures a tight hand grip. This item is an all-around WIN for the money, purpose, and quality. (I'd've preferred BRASS than ALUMINUM, hence the FOUR STARS given in this review).
