Not actually metal, but seems like a good zipper nonetheless. I used part of this length of zipper to repair a bag whose zipper had broken. The only confusing thing was that mine did come with bottom stops (unlike the experience of many other reviewers), but not tops stops. (Why would you include one but not the other???) I didn't have any top stops so I used pliers to reshape two bottom stops and used them as top stops. Worked just fine.

Good Value. Zippers are Medium Duty ample length with a generous amount of Pulls and the little END/STOP clip. It took a little bit of research to find out how to assemble these. How to assemble- Cut to length desired. Start end of Zipper into Pull on the closed side, while pushing into Pull; enough to not let it fall out, grab both sides of the Zipper Tape and pull and you will feel a click of ONE TOOTH UNLOCKING. where then you will be able to UNZIP the Zipper being careful NOT to go past the end or you will have to put the Zipper back together and repeat above. Recap- Start with the Zipper closed, put Pull on top with the divider side UP- (If you look at the PULL you will see it has a divider to OPEN the Zipper) One click of the Top Tooth separating via pulling opposite on both sides from being closed and then run the Pull down to operate as usual.
