HayabusaCombat Sports Mouth Guard Youth, Kids and Adult Sizes Comes with Case - White/Red, Adult

The main reason I purchased this mouthguard over the others on Amazon is because it actually lists the materials it's made out of. Many companies making athletic mouthguards on here seem suspiciously unwilling to disclose the materials they use. I wanted to know exactly what it was made out of before I boil it (!!!) and stick it directly in my mouth. BPA-free material is a must, and this fits the bill.Like the other reviewers, the first thing I noticed is that the mouthguard seemed really small. Like, it wouldn't even fit over my teeth out of the box. It looked like a child's mouthguard and I thought it couldn't possibly fit my bite. But I decided I would follow through just in case I was mistaken, and I'm glad I did. After you boil it and bite down on it, it folds outward and kind of "expands" to accommodate your bite. After two attempts I got a good mold of my teeth and it accommodates them nicely. It stays lightly attached to my teeth even without me needing to support it with my lips or tongue, which is great, although (since it isn't a perfect mold) it will fall off if you move around too much without supporting it.I waited to write this review until I had tested it out on the mats, and I'm happy to say it performs well. My only complaint is that it is somewhat thick, which makes it a little hard to talk as it takes up a lot of room in the mouth. Otherwise it's comfortable and non-intrusive. Considering the price point, it's overall a high quality product.

I read the reviews about them melting..."Rookies!" I thought! Of the dozens of mouth pieces I owned my whole life, THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN!Well... IT DOES! IT DID!1) Boiled water2) Removed from heat3) Waited until no longer bubbling4) Placed 4 Hayabusa guards and 1 UnderArmour guard- the Hayabusa were new; the UnderAmour I've had for several months5) I set my timer for 1 minutes- Hayabusa instructions say to leave in there 30 - 90 secs6) Roughly 20 secs in, the Hayabusa guards were deformed, melting into each other and unto themselves- looked like chewed up gumI quickly removed them and tried to separate them. As can be seen in the pics, I was unable to do so.My UnderArmour one behaved as expected, and successfully re-fit (I do this every 3 months, or so).I'm returning this plastic garbage. And I'm a HUGE Hayabusa fan. I'm shocked they sell accessories, ESPECIALLY MOUTH GUARDS, of such horrible quality.

Hayabusa is a brand I put a lot of trust it, and they never disappoint. After getting a blow to the face, it reduces the impact by a substantial amount with the perfect fit.

The mouthguard is very small, I could easily fit 2 side by side in the palm of my hand and still have some room to spare. Expanded slightly when heated but not enough to cover even the tops of my teeth. Definetly not Adult sized unless your mouth is too small to eat an apple. Seems to be made of decent quality material and molds well to teeth, but simply does not provide the coverage needed to safely wear.
