I'll try and keep this review short and to the point. Amazon has an unfortunate habit of sometimes mixing reviews for other formats - in this case I saw reviews for the Blu Ray, CD and vinyl.My review is for the vinyl and music.The songs we know are incredible and the audio quality is fantastic on the vinyl.I mean you have to first think this is a live recording from tape and also taken around 35 years ago.Yet the audio is incredibly clear and the mix is a great balance for a live setting.The vinyl itself whilst not the heaviest weighted vinyl is still ample enough good quality and the packaging including the booklet and three stand alone vinyl sleeves is surprisingly beautiful and good quality.If considering this record, I'd highly recommend it... PRINCE at his greatest with an insanely good set list and the packaging and audio quality is great... What a pleasure... So good it made me pause to write a rare review!Enjoy! ❤️

After watching this on TV and VHS for so many years its nice to finally have a new format. The sound is improved too because you can really hear how good a bass player Brownmark is.

It's about time this had an official release. I've waited since 1985.

My favourite performance so I had to buy this box set, a really collectors item and it is a thing of beauty.However. The records are quite warped. They do play fine so no major issue but I would expect better at this price point. It must have been due to the way they were stored.

Aside from this being a fantastic concert in of itself, this remixed, remaster really has improved the listening quality such that it sounds like a completely new experience than the original. The packaging and booklet are expertly done …. this is Prince and the Revolution at their peak of mega stardom on the Purple Rain tour - a must buy!

The music is fab as you would expect.The major hits are here and there is some proper interaction with his adoring audience.One star knocked off for the flimsy box sleeve that the three discs and photo album are encased in. Other artists manage to present multi vinyl in a sturdy cardboard box and charge less than this set cost. Check out Marillion's Fugazi box set and recent Motorhead 40th anniversary releases for comparison.Oh, and the included download code doesn't work :(
