I really like this board. It looks nice, seems solid.Works well with the chalk we have used so far (sidewalk chalk, plain ol' white stick chalk) We have a standard blackboard eraser, and have used damp sponge with water to wash it successfully.I love the fact that it is magnetic.We had planned to use this for grown-up things (calendar and to do list) but have instead mounted it low to the ground for our kids to use. They are just as pleased with it as I am. The only improvement I could think of would be to add a chalk tray. (thankfully it is magnetic, so we can easily stick a container for chalk to the board)We like it better than other chalkboards we own because of it's larger size, ease to clean, the fact that it is smooth, the chalk actually sticks when writing, and it is magnetic. It was listed for about $60 at the time of our purchase and I feel that compared to other boards available, it is a good value for the dollar.

Nice chalkboard. Didn't feel cheap

When considering whether or not to switch from a dry-erase board to a chalk board for homeschooling, I researched many types of blackboards. It was important to me to find a well-constructed, generously-sized blackboard that would work great with basic chalk (because I'm tired of using pricey markers that dry out in the middle of a lesson). This board fits the bill! No problems with ghost marks. It cleans up great with a dry cloth, and a moist cloth makes it look like new. Packaging was excellent. Highly recommended!

This arrived with some very small (maybe 1/2 inch) scratches in the black surface on opposite side top and bottom corners. Not glaringly obvious, but I can see where this would be an issue for some. I never plan to use it with chalk but rather for displaying family photos, and the crazy magnets I collect traveling, so I just position them accordingly. If it becomes a bother I can touch it up with some paint. Overall it’s a nice piece, a bit pricy for what it is, but still cheaper than so many others available. Magnets hold nicely through photos and postcards. It did require two people to hang, but only to keep it straight. I hung mine horizontally and simply rotated the hanging loops to do so. I do wish that the hardware was behind the frame rather than visibly sticking out the top, but I plan to hang garland or something to cover this. I wanted more useable surface area than frame and this fits the bill perfectly allowing me to load up with pics of our newest little family members and travel pics. Arrived in a fitted box wrapped in a bubble wrap sleeve and foam sheets on both sides, so the small scratches were not a shipping issue. I get loads on complements on this.

This is a great product and very practical for planning and keeping us on track in accomplishing those daily/weekly tasks and activities that we don't want to miss or forget!

I have just received this product and have therefore not properly used it. The reason for this is that it comes with a large adhesive that tears apart when you try to take it off and is impossible to take off completely. Only little bits of the glue come off at a time, and you have to work on it with your nails. There are no cleaning instructions. Should I wash it? What should I do? This is already marking the surface of the board, so I don't recommend buying it.

Was very pleased with this product.I have bought big boards in the past elsewhere that just didn't hold up especially in the corner or on the mounting. This board seems much better quality at the same price.The hooks on the back are small loops on the corner which makes for easy mounting.I thought this type of mounting(it spaces it off the wall a tiny bit on the top) would make it wobbly when trying to draw, but it seemed fine. I might add a bit of wall tacky putty to stabilize On the bottom it but it seems good for now.I really really appreciated how it was packaged when it arrived. I was skeptical to order this online because I didn't want to hastle with returning it if it was messed up in shipping... but it was wrapped really well and looked perfect when opened.Overall I would give it 5 stars because it was exactly what I ordered and came properly packaged to not be damaged and it seems to be good quality for the price.

I purchased this board for my outdoor bar. I also purchased chalk markers to get precise lines when making my drawings. Using the chalk markers in combination with this chalkboard worked perfectly and as an authentic look to my outdoor bar area. I put my three most favorite cocktails on it so I can glance at it easily to know how to make them and for others to know how to make them as my bar is open to all friends and family who want to give mythology a try.
