ThinOptics Keychain Case and Readers Rectangular Reading Glasses

Great product. Works well and so easy to carry. Love it!!!!!

I ALWAYS am forgetting my readers and never had them when I needed them. These are amazing and attach to my keys. I’ve used them countless times and love how well they work. They do exactly what they say and fold up every time when I’m done with them.

I'm at the point where it's nice to have readers available for that darn small print in dim light that I seem to encounter more and more often. The ThinOptics are the smallest and easiest to carry that I have found.One really great feature is that the lenses are ground so that there is no front or back. You just put them on and read. The case is a clever bit of kit and with very little practice you get the hang of sliding them in and out.My only gripe was the nose pieces. As received from the box, they were very, very rough--almost like sand was embedded into them. I'm sure this is to help them stay in place when you move your head, but I found it very uncomfortable to wear for more than a few seconds. I fixed this by taking a very fine sandpaper (600 grit) and lightly burnishing the nose pieces until they still held in place but did not feel like they were digging in.I haven't had them long enough to rate their scratch resistance, but at the moment I'm finding the folding, flat design excellent for EDC.

I was always struggling to remember my reading glasses and stumbled upon ThinOptics. These snap into the little case which is smaller than a credit card and I’ve clipped them to my cell phone leash for quick and convenient access.

At first, I thought " they're not gonna last" they are so thin and look like they will brake BUT, I have dropped them so many times and not a scratch. They are super handy, easy to put on and take off. I just ordered a second pair as s back up in case I forget to bring them with me.

I wanted to love these reading “slip on” glasses so much. They sometimes stay put and other times not so much. They are ok in an emergency. If I would have tried them on first then I likely would not have purchased them. These are too pricey for how often I reach for them in my bag. My husband feels the same way about his pair. I will keep trying because I did not send them back. This is my fault. I wish I liked them.

UPDATE: After this pair broke, I ended up buying the ThinOptics that come with the Universal Pod. Those glasses are different: the part that holds on to your nose is no longer the metal strips, it is plastic that is now attached at the top and bottom of the strip. They also did not look like the original glasses that came with the Keychain Case: the lens frames are a uniform thickness, where it looks like the Keychain glasses had a slight taper which would help them overlap when they fold up. I was hoping the Universal Pod ones would fit into the Keychain Case, but because of the difference I did not want to try it and end up ruining the new glasses.It is now 1 year after I bought the Universal Pod ThinOptics and they are still intact. I still miss being able to wear them around my neck, so I contacted ThinOptics through their website to see if I could just buy the glasses without the Keychain Case. They said if I send a picture of the broken ones then they would send a replacement at no cost. Luckily, I did still have them lying around for some reason, and after receiving the picture ThinOptics immediately sent out new, replacement glasses for free, not even a charge for shipping.I am now changing my previous 2 star rating to 5 stars. Will update if there are problems with the new glasses.UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: I received the new replacements - they are the newer style and are exactly the same as the ones I have that came in the Universal Case with the plastic, attached at both ends nose-pieces. They also fit in the keychain case. I have them around my neck again and am a very happy customer :)----OLD REVIEW: I removed the keyring part, put a smaller ring on the case, and made a necklace with these. I also sanded off the logo. Because of that, they were incredibly convenient as a cool-looking necklace that I can wear when I leave the house.Other than that, the reviews are all true:- It takes some fiddling to get them to stay on your nose, but it is manageable. The best way is to bend them outwards and let them grab your nose - there were 2 places on my nose where they would stay on. They fall off if you wiggle your nose or sneeze.- The metal nose pieces broke off. The first one about a month after I bought them, the 2nd many months later. They are less comfortable and leave marks on your nose without them, but they are still usable.- They broke completely yesterday, the springy bridge part snapped into a few pieces.I did use them a lot while they lasted and now I'm deciding whether I want to replace them or just try something else. If they were cheaper I would just replace the glasses and still use with my case, but for $20 I might try something more comfortable and durable.

lost my first pair that I have had for years. They hold up and the nose spring stays tight year after year. New ones fit and appear to be the same...thanks for not changing anything and making them cheaper. Very happy with this set and the keychain holder.

Su peso , tamaño , diseño y calidad de las lentes Demasiado prácticas para la vida cotidiana, las llevo conmigo a todos lados., entendiendo que son para una urgencia en lectura y no para uso permanente .,solo espero que si duren mucho tiempo. Feliz con la compra, si las recomiendo.

Me gusta todo, practico, sencillo de usar. Lo uso en mi llavero, así que nunca salgo sin ellos.

Ich habe die Brille nun schon einige Monate und trage sie meist in der Bauchtasche mit mir rum.Wie oft sie mir schon in einem Restaurant mit Dämmerlicht die Augen vor der Speisekarte geöffnet hat will ich gar nicht aufzählen.Durch die raue Stelle an den Nasenflügeln hält sie wirklich erstaunlich gut auf der Nase, zudem ist sie sehr unauffällig und zieht doch den einen oder anderen Blick auf sich. Ohne Bügel oder Rahmen sieht sie halt doch mal anders aus als die Billig Lesebrillen vom Discounter.Die Mittelfeder ist bis jetzt kein bisschen schwächer geworden. Das Etui hält Ohne Kratzer oder Dellen trotz, dass es in der Bauchtasche unterwegs ist.Die Brille selbst weist weder Grate noch andere Materialfehler auf, viel kaputt gehen kann an ihr ja eh nicht. Für mich klare Kaufempfehlung - klein, leicht und sehr praktisch.

Devo dire che è molto utile certo non per leggere un libro, ma al ristorante, nei negozi per leggere i cartellini oppure una mail sul cellulare è veramente ottimo.Li sto utilizzando molto e il fatto di non dover portare dietro custodie ingombranti è stat una manna dal cielo soprattutto d estate. Bisognerebbe solo abbassare un po’ il prezzo
