Absolutely thrilled
I am absolutely thrilled with the AKNgoes Woodworking Scriber T-Square Ruler 12in! This tool has completely revolutionized my woodworking projects, making precision and accuracy an effortless reality. The standout feature of this T-Square Ruler lies in its meticulous attention to detail. The precision it offers is unmatched – with laser-engraved lines every 1/32" on the outer edges of the blade and precisely spaced 1.3mm holes drilled every 1/16" along the blade, achieving perfectly spaced lines has never been easier. The innovation of sliding a pencil through these holes along the workpiece delivers accurate results that truly align with the stock edge. Furthermore, the clarity of the inch scales is a testament to the thoughtful design of this tool. Even in suboptimal lighting conditions, the scales remain highly readable, catering to me of all ages and vision levels. The 45-degree bevel machined onto the blade edges is a masterstroke, reducing parallax and elevating the accuracy of measurements and markings. The craftsmanship of this T-Square Ruler is a sight to behold. The precisely machined, laser-engraved aluminum blade is seamlessly integrated with a solid billet handle, equipped with two support lips to prevent tipping. The attention to detail extends even to the machined edge, ensuring true squaring and impeccable performance. The choice of materials is yet another highlight. Crafted from high-quality aluminum alloy, the ruler exhibits remarkable wear resistance and rust-proof properties, ensuring its durability and longevity. Its robust construction is a clear testament to its ability to withstand the demands of woodworking projects. In summary, the AKNgoes Woodworking Scriber T-Square Ruler 12in has firmly established itself as an indispensable tool in my woodworking arsenal. Its precision, clarity, and superior design have elevated the quality of my work, while its durability guarantees its place by my side for countless projects to come. Whether for architectural drawing design or carpentry tasks, this ruler has proven its worth time and again. If you're a woodworking enthusiast seeking perfection and reliability, I wholeheartedly recommend adding this exceptional T-Square Ruler to your toolkit.

Great for those long perpendicular cuts.
Lightweight, pretty accurate, dead straight, and perfectly at 90 degrees on both sides. Easy to use, and helps on those long cross cuts.

Well made product
If you are a woodworker then you know these are remarkably similar to another brand that makes red colored tools. There are some minor differences but the big difference is the cost. This tool was dead square right out of the box. I prefer to buy USA made products but not at 4x the cost. This is a very affordable alternative.

UPDATED: New unit is square and great customer service!
UPDATED REVIEW AFTER CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANCE: The company reached out and asked what the issue was with the unit and then sent me a new replacement unit to try. The new unit upon assembly was perfectly square and works as expected! Hence my only comments about the unit for a future revision is the edge markings can be a bit confusing to read? Meaning it would be nice if the inch and half-inch marking stood out stronger so they're easier to see at a glance. Also I would prefer the marking holes to be a bit smaller or tapered as you have to let the pencil "settle" into the center of the hole while moving the unit for the best accuracy. Those are my own personal qualms, it's still a great unit. Also I have to give kudos for their customer service!! The reached out and corrected the issue and gave me updates as to the status of the new unit (there was a delay while new units were arriving to Amazon, and they let me know about it and by how many days)! So I can definitely recommend the product now!

Absolute Precision
Wow, talk about precision engineering and machining!! Absolutely amazing. I am using metric for all of my cabinetry work -- much easier to deal with than Imperial fractions. This ruler makes all of the difference.

12" version is square with no adjustments
By no means is this an official test, but after receiving the item I took a piece of plywood with a perfectly flat side and struck a line on the left side of the ruler, and then moved the ruler so that I could overlay that same line with the right side of the square. In my mind, if these lines overlap perfectly and I don't see any divergence or the line growing thicker up the piece, it's square enough for furniture and cabinetry. I saw no divergence and no play in the tool. I'll update if anything changes, but I see this as a viable substitute to woodpecker, at least for 12 inches. I am not necessarily advocating to use a discount brand like this for longer t squares, as I'd imagine those require much more machining precision to stay precise, but for 12" and under I'll be using this brand and will at least try longer sizes prior to buying the name brand version.

Don't Do It...
I know what you're thinking, it looks just like the nice ones... I can buy the 36 and the 12 for half the price (which I did).... it was hard to make precision tools 50 years ago but now everyone has a CNC machine so how bad could it be? So bad. It wasn't square, wasn't flat, there is play in the holes even with a 0.9 mm pencil, and it does not slide without the head walking so there goes parallel lines. I couldn't even hold it in place and go along the T to get the same line twice. I quit using it after 5 minutes and a few bad cuts and went back to using a tape measure and a piece of MDF to mark lines. Then for extra fun Amazon ships it with a bunch of other items to "reduce trips" but the manufacturers box it comes in is not "shipping quality" so you get to buy at $22.50 box at the UPS store for your "free" return. I promise I'm done with ironic quotes and kudos to inventing a business where people end up spending money on nothing. Real advice, just stick with Swanson until you can buy the better squares from Woodpeckers or Jessem directly. I thought I was taking crazy pills until my Jessem squares showed up. The difference was like night and day.

Beautiful and precise
I checked this every which way possible against other items known to be square. It's perfect. I also checked several of the marked holes and they all seem to be perfectly on point. Even though it's not made in US, you could say it's assembled in the US because it comes in two pieces and you screw it together 😂. I also ordered a few Pentel 0.7 mechanical pencils, but I found that the lead breaks when dragging over rough wood so I'm going to try some 0.9 and see how that works out. The graduation holes are big enough. The edges are tapered and the butt stock has ledges that ride the material your measuring. Truly an awesome product for precise carpentry! The 12" version seems to be perfect for most things I cut, but I can see myself investing in the 8" and 24" ones too. If you are on the fence about this, don't be. There's only one other T square like this and it's way, way more expensive.

Visual defects
Item seems well mostly well machined. Disappointed that there were some chips in the red aluminium finish and that the head of the product and length don’t mount as flush as they could.
