Regret purchase...
The item came all shiny and new. It was very pretty to look at. It was functional and I helped many a customer this summer. However, everything started to go down hill after only a week and a half of usage. The "twin copper" is NOT anything but a color, that copper coloring - GONE. The pink on the cork area - flaked off and became a liability - bc if any of that chipped paint fell into the wine and a customer saw and complained or feigned getting sick as a result of a paint/metal chip. Well....I would be out a job. I was asked politely to never use this item again at our restaurant and I just took the financial hit. Finished the rest of the summer with a $5.99 wine opener that didn't chip, rust or fade purchased that at a wine/liquor store. Save your money.

Super cute, but dull knife
I love the color of this wine key, but unfortunately it’s not the most practical. The knife is super dull, and as someone who works in a restaurant and is constantly pulling out her wine key, this one just isn’t it.

Frustrating
It’s gorgeous. No doubt about it. I got a new job in a newer fine dining restaurant and I wanted a wine key that would make a statement. And it does.BUT, the corkscrew doesn’t bite well. The tip is fatter and more blunt. Getting that screw to bite into a cork in front of a table is a nightmare and will make you sweat. The hinged part is perfect, but as you’re trying to get that corkscrew to bite the handle will fold on itself, collapsing a bit and you have to readjust it many times. It makes you look like a novice.I’m opening bottles that are $300+(On the inexpensive end). I can’t afford to have a faulty key. It makes me super nervous. It did actually split a cork on 2007 Barbaresco of which we have the only 8 bottles in the entire state and southern region. I almost threw up. Thankfully our Som was able to save it.The blade is also very dull. My cheaper, ugly one has split my thumb open twice. No, it doesn’t need to be that sharp. But struggling to get the foil peeled (and ending up doing so in small shards) is a problem.I just ordered an uglier key, but one of which my Som even swears by for less.I bought into the looks over function and when you’re dealing with assets that matter not only to you, the company you work for, but your guests…don’t judge the key by it’s shine. It’s such a shame because it SO PRETTY and when I have pulled it out it provides that wow factor. The function just doesn’t hold up.

I've bought two of these for a gift. (Original and replacement) and JD to rub out the discoloration from the twine wrapped around to keep the corkscrew in the box, and some paint discoloration still remains where paint not applied correctly or bled/bubbled. All in all this will be used anyway just can't be left on display in the wine bar.
