Grind only what is needed when ground is required for recipes
Excellent flavor. Hiring the spice to the amount I need when ground allspice is required in a recipe. Keeping the spice whole until needed for grinding into a powder keeps the allspice fresh.

Medium sized berries and very fresh
Not too much to say when ordering spices, but one annoyance for me is that all the allspice berries I can find in stores are about the size of peppercorns and very expensive. These were medium sized berries, very aromatic, and are also a fraction of the price of grocery store purchases.

If a recipe calls for whole spices, use whole spices. They taste different
If you cook a soup, make a stock/broth, or really anything liquid, whole spices taste so different. I made an absolutely lovely chicken broth with whole peppercorns, whole all spice, and a few other herbs too. After slow cooking for 24 hours, I removed the whole spices and was shocked to discover just how different it tasted. No you cannot substitute ground powdered spices for the same flavors. It doesn't work that way.
