Best pvc pipe cutter available
Tried several different pvc pipe cutters over the years and this works better than most. And the blades are replaceable! This sounds like it should be standard but is uncommon. Replacement blades are sold here on Amazon so I purchased several so that I always have a sharp tool. The build quality of the tool itself is excellent. I feel like I could drop it off a building and it would survive easily. Highly recommended.

Works well. Light weight. Sharp blade.
This tool does the job on 1/2" PVC conduit. It is much easier to cut with this tool than messing with a saw. It also allows close-quarters cutting when the conduit is already in place in a tight space.I am happy with this tool so far, and can recommend it for 1/2" PVC conduit without hesitation.

Can cut most pvc used in a house.
Great pvc cutter.

This thing is the best.
Well, I don't know if it is the best, but I like it the best of those I have tried. It's not cheap but it is smooth, easy to squeeze, and of solid quality. I can say it cuts Schedule 40 PVC nicely, and I also use it to cut Schedule 80 PVC and it works great for that too, but of course, a little tougher to get through. It handles the thicker pipe just fine though. The angles and opening fits my hand perfectly, and I've got about average sized hands. If I had to pick just one, this is it. I don't think you can go wrong with this guy.

Nice cutter from Ridgid
Replaced my old Ridgid cutter with this new style cutter. Worked great on pex pipe. Liked the ratcheting action of it. Will need to give it some time in use to see how it holds up. I would recommend it.

This is a good in-between cutting tool
This is a good in-between cutting tool. The cheap tools don't cut square and don't ratchet well which if frustrating for me in a tight spot. This one doesn't take much room to ratchet and cuts square enough. I was told that the Klein pipe cutter was the best but it sells for $220 more. I wish I could try these side by side. I did try the Klein and got a quick, square cut. This Rigid tool was also quick and the cuts almost square. Probably about 1/16 in. off at the most, other times apparently square. I've been using $15 cutters and have to buy a new one each year and have to put up with very un-square cuts. Something like 1/4 in. off. For the extra $32 I think I did well. We'll see by this time next year.

Ease of Use
I'm 94 years old and my hand strength is poor, but using this tool is a pleasure. The locking in place as you are cutting the pipe makes it so much better than the older cutters I've used.

Best PVC Cutting Ratchet I have Bought Yet!
I have used ratcheting PVC pipe cutters for years, but never, ever had a cutter that was as easy to use as this one. Yeah, it's pricey, but the last tool I just threw away was about $10 and the aggravation it caused me, and time lost, is worth ten times the price of this tool. It cuts right through 1" and 3/4" schedule 40 pipe like butter. It has a strong, solid, but not too heavy design. I have hopefully a temporary tennis elbow issue and I couldn't even make a dent in the PVC with the old cheap cutters. But one hand, no discomfort with this tool. I have cut around 30 pieces with it already and no issues at all!! This is a big issue because I have to cut pipe in my existing sprinkler system that is in the ground. It absolutely has to work one handed, and this tool solved that for me!!If you want quality and not have to worry about this frequently used tool working with PVC, this is it.I can't speak for the longevity of the sharpness of the blades, but I saw that they are replaceable. Then it would work as a whole new tool! Of course, sharpening the blades with a little oil and a dremel would work too.I'm happy with it big time. I hope you will be too.
