Works well
I use these for the containers in which I store all of my drinking water and they seem to work very well. They last for they expected amount of time and the water comes out with no negative tastes or smells. I recommend.

SLOW but fresh drinking water
Even though these are SUPER slow, the filter works great at filtering undrinkable city tap water into clean drinking water. And we're talking like 1 drip every 5 - 10 seconds, SLLLOOOOW. But as long as I fill up the top reservoir of our PUR PLUS 30-Cup Water Filter Dispenser every time I walk by it, my family has clean water to drink.I change it out, probably less often than I should, about every other month. Though I do have this on Subscribe through Amazon to make sure when it's time to change, I have an extra ready. I'm comfortable enough with the price to keep in handy. Replacing it is easy, just soak the new one for a bit (fully submerged in cool water) and lock it into place. If the drip all but stops, I take it out and give it a shake and a rinse, and pop it back in.It's well made, fits like it should, and provides clean drinking water (even if it takes a while for it to provide it.)I still give it a 5 star, as it does what it's supposed to; filter ick water into yum water, though it takes a hot minute.

Cheap
Good price for three. If you drink alot of water invest in a bigger pitcher. These filters are done after 10 or so 64oz fill ups.

Just a minor improvement compared to PUR basic filter and Waterdrop basic filter pitcher
So I compared the PUR Plus filter to my basic PUR filter and the Waterdrop brand filter pitcher. Overall the PUR Plus filter was only slightly better tasting water than the other two filters. The basic PUR filter and Waterdrop basic filter seem about the same. The PUR Plus filter seems to give the tap water maybe a slightly cleaner taste but not a big difference at all. On the positive side the PUR Plus filter took a bit longer to filter the water than the PUR basic filter but not as bad or as long as other reviews suggest. I just put the pitcher back in the fridge and come back later, like 10-15 minutes later to drink some. All of the water is filtered with none left in the top half of the pitcher. The price difference is not that big for the PUR Plus or basic so I think I will stay with the PUR Plus filter since it does filter out more contaminants. Although I might be fortunate and my tap water might be relatively clean to start???

EXCEPTIONALLY PURE H20 IS WORTH THE WAIT!!!
*EDIT*- By the 13th fill, the wait for filtering is 53 mins and the last 1/4" will not pass through. I count the # of fills to compare w/ filter reminder and mind the flow rate. Twice I've followed the instructions to help slow filtering with no discernible effect. It is important to note my H20 source is well water and it has a greater sediment content than most municipal provided H20. I don't know how much this is affecting filter functionality. *END EDIT*So far, I am delighted to switch to the Pūr Lead Reduction filter!! The taste and mouthfeel is a HUGE change from the tap & the previous filter. I used a Brita pitcher system for 10 years on decent city water- until January 2020. In Jan I moved to a small apt complex that provides, monitors & treats their own WELL WATER. 😟 This h20 is always a bit dingy w/ sand particulates & is sometimes the color of beer. Plus I live 6/10 of a mile from a military training base. (50+ years of lead rounds leeching into the ground & water) After reading a recent h20 quality report for the area it was clear I NEEEEED lead filtration. The Brita Longlast filter reviews inspired ZERO confidence. Eight hrs of pitcher filter research later- I confidently chose Pūr.This particular Pūr filter takes roughly 20 minutes to filter 10 cups and I am totally cool with it bc there is a distinct improvement in the water quality. I just hope it doesn't get much slower!

good replacements, snaps right in.
these do not filter out free radicals but most do not unless you have a specialised filter these filter out most of the things that we have in our water here besides the free radicals gives a better taste even if you have to buy distilled it gets rid of the bottle taste so the taste is improved on all different types of water that you filter through these perfect replacement for the PUR plus water pitcher.

I love this filter. It works well. It’s a little bit hard with somebody that has arthritis to twist it in and out because it’s tight in that area where you’ve got a twisted but it works great and it’s quick to filter. This is I believe the third set of package that I bought like it arrived well

Sad but true..
UPDATE: OCTOBER 28, 2024:I am now officially giving up my PUR pitcher, and getting a second Lifestraw glass pitcher instead. Apparently PUR discontinued this higher end 'plus' version of its filter (PUR PLUS PITCHER FILTERPPF951K), which reportedly filters out lead in addition to microplastics (unlike PUR's 'basic' filter - PUR BASIC PITCHER FILTERS PPF900Z - which doesn't filter out either), for a short period of time before bringing it back this summer, to much consumer confusion. But they still have not fixed the problem of the filters clogging prematurely. And with the growing knowledge re: the prevalence and harm of micro and nanoplastics in our water (and everywhere else!), which can shed from plastic bottles and pitchers, there's no compelling reason to keep using these. For others concerned about micro/nanoplastics, Lifestraw pitchers reportedly filter out more nanoplastics than the Pur plus filter, in addition to offering a glass pitcher. But as mentioned below, the Lifestraw glass pitcher still has many plastic components that come into continuous contact with the water it filters/holds, including the filters themselves (2 total), the filter housing, and the lid. Lifestraw has also recently double-downed on its newer offerings of plastic (vs glass) pitchers, with its new larger capacity pitcher only available in plastic, even while touting the pitchers' ability to filter out micro-plastics - not sure if they realize the irony of this.UPDATE: MARCH 29, 2020:Came back to update my review with continued frustration. These filters are absolutely junk. Just opened and installed yet another brand new one, and after one cycle, it's once again taking 1-2 days just to filter one jug of water. With all the consistently negative reviews from multiple credible customers, how can they not fix this??As of last year, I have migrated most of my drinking/cooking water needs to the fairly new LifeStraw Home Water Filter Pitcher (https://www.amazon.com/LifeStraw-Bacteria-Parasites-Microplastics-Chemicals/dp/B07QQ857JJ/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=lifestraw+water+pitcher&qid=1585456822&s=sporting-goods&sr=1-1-catcorr), which I got two of through their Kickstarter campaign. The LifeStraw is not perfect, and has much smaller capacity than the PUR, but the water flows through in minutes, even after multiple cycles. I also love that the Lifestraw pitcher is glass (even though it's comprised of many plastic parts, including the filter holder inside). Currently I keep the PUR and a Lifestraw in my fridge, and use the Lifestraw most of the time. The PUR is just for backup and/or large quantities of water (as when making rice or pasta). Unless PUR fixes their useless filters, I'm switching out completely once there is a better high-capacity solution.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I have to agree with everyone that these filters are horrible - they have been for about the last year. I have been a faithful PUR user for the last decade or so, and starting about a year ago, the filters don't work most of the time. With my most recent purchase (lead version; set of 3) the filter didn't work right out of the box after the prerequisite soaking, etc., which I've been doing for the last decade so know how to do properly. Thinking it was once again stuck, I shook the brand new filter as directed (have never had to do that until recently), and managed to get it to work briefly - for two jugs worth of water, slowly. Then the thing got stuck again. When this happened earlier this year, PUR customer service refused to acknowledge anything had changed about the filters or their manufacture, and made it seem like it was user error. Clearly this isn't true, as I and many other reviewers (who have used PUR for years, previously with no problem) can attest to.Please fix this, PUR. If you were able to produce working filters before, there's no reason you can't anymore. The minute a better option appears, many of us will no doubt defect.

Works Great
I live in Dalby, rural Australia. Australia has extremely archaic standards on lead levels, allowing 4.5% lead content in faucet fittings (as opposed to .25% in the USA/Canada). There are many old lead pipes in Australia's plumbing, but the government has avoided expensive replacements claiming the lead levels in the water are "natural". The government has recently begun recommending all households run their faucets for 30 seconds first, before drinking the water...My water tastes metallic. Are lead levels elevated in my water? I don't know, probably not, I don't care. There is inevitably some amount of lead, and it is inevitably going to be reduced by this filter. There's really no safe amount of lead, the less the better.A recent sampling of 212 households in NSW, Australia found that 56% of the 212 households had detectable levels of lead in their water, and 8% exceeded allowable Australian standards for lead. Granted, elevated blood levels of lead have rarely been found to be linked to drinking water. But keep in mind, children consume more water relative to their body mass than adults, and children have developing brains. We needed a water filter anyway, as our water tastes awful. The water now tastes good, the chlorine taste is gone, and almost all of any lead will be gone. There is also a pretty impressive list of other chemicals this filter removes. The water does filter quite slowly, but the filter has been working great for a month. For the very rare people who have highly unsafe tap water but don't know it, lead is a suspected carcinogen, and this filter literally might save you from cancer. If you're going to have a filter anyway, the lead versions are well worth the few extra dollars simply for peace of mind. I was deeply disappointed to learn our local Brita Maxtra filters do very little for water safety or lead, but merely improve the taste. The Pur lead filters actually work out to about the same price, assuming you get free international shipping from Amazon USA. For any other Australians, you can get free international shipping for these Filters from Amazon USA with an Amazon Prime Australia Account for $59 annually. Pur water filters for pitchers do not appear to be available locally.

Good stuff!
Shipping on time, packaging intact. Product is great! My home city has lead water mains in certain neighbourhoods because it is a very old Canadian development. They could no longer use the water additive that protects the water from lead leaching in from the pipes. The city can also not currently afford to dig up all its roads to replace the mains and connections. So, the city opted to supply residents with PUR jugs and filters as a solution as they are the only filters certified to remove lead. I moved into a rental where the previous tenant took the jug with them, and the city was giving me a hard time with determining who was responsible for getting a replacement. In the meantime, I ordered replacements myself so that I did not have to drink lead. Sometimes I cannot believe this is real life.Safe to say, they work! Basically my entire hometown ( which has a total ~110,000 population) has been using these since 2021.Super fast and easy to prep and install. Filters reasonably quick. No funky taste. No lead poisoning.Would recommend!
