I am undecided between getting the 5" or the 7" wedge. Has anyone tried the 7" and found it too high?

I have the 7 inch. I have only had it for a week, but I like it. I cannot compare the 5 inch to it though because this is my first wedge. When I wake up during the night, I find that I have slid down some in my bed, but never to the uncomfortable stage. I am sleeping better though vs. no wedge at all. I will probably never sleep flat again now that I have this one. I have it on top of my mattress. I may try it under my mattress someday to see which way I prefer to use it. my dr wants me to use something that's 45 degrees - which would be more like 7" for reflux. Does 5" work as well as 7"?

So far my 5" has been perfect. I did have a wedge pillow that was 5 1/2" but since it was so short length wise I would slide down the pillow. Since the mattress wedge covers the whole bed the slope is gentle and I stay at the top so the acid reflux has stayed down. So for me the 5" is perfect.

Can this work on top of the mattress?

Yes, it works well. I have a queen size mattress and it works fine. It does make a lot of difference when you have digestive problems.

Are the two halves for King size packaged separately?
