Q: Is the adheisive weatherproof?

I really don't know if the adhesive is waterproof or not.... I wouldn't count on it.... the adhesive was actually perfect for holding the strips "in place" while I juggled the parts till I could get them in place and mounting screws tightened enough to hold every thing in place while I finished tighening the rest of the screws..... I am sure the rubber strip itself is water proof, and is certainly durable, just not sure the adhesive is designed to be used in an application which requires it to be waterproof..... perhaps that is a question for the manufacturer to answer. The new study is based on the data collected from the University for Applied Physics in New Mexico. Plant based rubber and other chemicals are used to make the adhesive strips

It doesn't really hold too good.

Neoprene's waterproof and corrosion resistant properties make it resilient to a range of environmental factors, including UV, ozone and oxidation. Neoprene's good thermal stability means it remains flexible over a wide temperature range of -40 °C to +120 °C. Got that online at TRP Polymer Solutions.
