''I DON' NIND'' ''LET THE GOOD TIMES ROOLL / FEEL SO FINE'' all uniquely ''SLADE'S ...
''SLAYED'' this was the album that had to make ''SLADE'' after years of trying in the studio, and finally breaking through big time with ''SLADE ALIVE'' this was the one that screamed ''WE CAN MAKE ROCKIN ALBUMS'' not just singles, until ''MAMA WEER ALL CRAZZE NOW'' none of ''SLADE'S'' hit singles were on albums, with the exception of a live version of ''GET DOWN n' GET WITH IT'' on ''SLADE ALIVE'' i literally flogged this album to death, i even had a portable ''PYE' record player that i had at work that plugged into the light socket once i removed the globe, so i could play over my hour long lunch break, and everytime i went to the local youth club it came with me, i find it hard to mention a track in particular as they are all ''CLASSIC'' slade songs, the two mega hits ''JANE and ''MAMA'' how different could an intro to a song be, from the grinding of guitars on ''MAMA'' to The pulsating hard drum beat, of ''GUDBUY TO JANE'' ''HOW DO YOU RIDE, WHOLE WORLD'S GOIN CRAZEE, LOOK AT LAST NITE, I WON'T LET IT APPEN, GUDBUY GUDBUY, ''I DON' NIND'' ''LET THE GOOD TIMES ROOLL / FEEL SO FINE'' all uniquely ''SLADE'S sound even the janis joplin covered ''MOVE OVER'' sounded like anything SLADE could have written themselves,as if this album wasn't proof of ''SLADES'' abillities as more than a single band, the ''B'' sides show an even more sophisticated sound ''MY LIFE IS NATURAL'',''CANDIDATE'',''MAN WHO SPEAKS EVIL'',''WHO SPEAKS EVIL'', ''SLADE'S'' most underestimated songs ever ''WONDERIN 'Y' the ''B'' side to ''TAKE BE BAK OME'' this album was as much a part of my youth and growing up as leaving school and avin to work for a livin, this went we me and ''PARTIED' where i ''PARTED'', i would have given more than 5 stars if i could.

Slade at there best
If you want a slade studio album this is the one to buy. If you have a quality HIFI then it gets a bit hard to listen to. Sound is harsh and dated but if you accept that buy it

Excellent
Brought back my childhood memories - excellently reproduced on CD.The album sounds great and as one of Slade's first in 1972, this is good early less commercialised glam rock and more decent music - check out tracks "I don' mind" "goodbuy, gudbuy" and "look at last nite" all could have been singles - brilliant.

there are no bad tracks on the disc
Bought the LP when it first came out as I was a huge Slade fan. I still have the LP but decided to buy the cd. In my opinion, there are no bad tracks on the disc. Noddy Holder's vocals belts out the songs. Glam rock at its best
