**Q: will this work for a 2009 jeep commander?**
A: We have no way of known what driveshaft you have or the motor / transfercase with the information provided.   This does the CV style driveshaft for 4WD 2008 4.7 and 2005 5.7 Grand Cherokee's.

A: I am not sure, the only difference from Laredo vs SRT8 is trim, hand ability and bigger V8 engine
The CV joint that I use is for the rear side, I would check the Dorman Website to make sure on the
part# Amazon's cross reference isn't 100% positive.....this isn't for a novice or amateur's type
mechanic. I've 45 yrs under my belt and it was a challenge and need special tools..... good luck
