UCanaanBJD Doll, 1/3 SD Dolls 24 Inch 18 Ball Jointed Doll DIY Toys with Clothes Outfit Shoes Wig Hair Makeup, Best Gift for Girls (Y-Katherine)

I brought this doll back on 02/14/23 this year. I'm interested in the 24-inch BJD size doll. Before making that expensive purchase for a custom doll of the same size. She was on sale at the time for $76.99. I thought it was a great deal. Try it! She arrived well-packaged. I was surprised by how nice she looked in person, with no color blemishes/marks of any kind. The clothes were made very nicely. The only thing wrong was the boots. I received was not the same as in the picture, not a deal breaker. Fast forward to today, she sits on a shelf with a few of my other collectible dolls. I picked her up to restyle her and noticed a lot of play in her hip/legs. I repositioned her to stand and her legs fell off! I flipped her over to see the mechanism in the inner leg of her hips had separated, and a connecter screw covered in plastic broke. I'm not rough with my dolls. NO children in my home and my collection lives in a curio cabinet or on my work table. NO pets to knock them over. I've had her for 10 months and she's a display doll that I sew clothes for that is never awkwardly posed. This should've not happened in my opinion. I'm still researching BJD dolls. I know that price does not determine if they will have problems or not with a doll. Time to find a doll hospital.

I never owned a BJD doll before, and never meant to, but what drew me to these was the adorable face and the variety of gorgeous, gorgeous clothing. The doll arrived today, and she is all that I hoped for. After looking at other BJDs, I realized that I'm making the right choice. Not only are most of them extremely expensive, most are also either a little too realistic, or fashioned in a kind of artistic, not-quite-human variation. I find both a little creepy (even where the former can be gorgeous when done right, and the latter can be very creative). What I wanted was to focus on the clothing, and this set of dolls, besides being fairly affordable, provided me with just that. The dolls have large eyes, and a serene expression. They are kind of anime, but in a very quiet way, that doesn't distract from their beauty. And the clothing! So much variety, from many eras of human history, including modern. I actually found them with a modern doll (the adorable "Salina"), but decided to purchase "Carina" since she was one of my favorites. Of course, the basic doll can be set up to be pretty much any of the dolls, as long as you purchase the right set. The doll costs about $90 and each set costs $50, so it's like having a lot of dolls when owning just one. I already purchased several alternative sets (including, of course, Salina), and mean to purchase several more, and switch the look every few months. For now, however, I am extremely happy with this variation. The only little issue that cropped up was that I was worried, when placing the wig on, to ruin it since the elastic/rubber is a bit tight and I had to use some force when pulling it on. And here she is, in all her beauty. In the photo, she is reading a book since she's it's required in our house. Who said being a doll is easy?EDITED TO ADD: I also purchased the "Olinna" version since this review. She is just as beautiful and I love them both.

I was watching the bjd hobby from afar for quite some time but put off by the toxic community and (for me) unattainable price points. I wanted a doll I could change their clothes, change the wig, and take nice photos with but I definitely did not want to purchase a "bootleg" or recast resin bjd that was still hundreds of dollars. Then I found this girl. Its a plastic "hjd", or hinge jointed doll, but not a recast. The uCannan doll comes in a beautiful box, the full set outfit is very well made, her wig is long and silky and so beautiful and can be changed! Her face makeup is beautiful, the only thing is I am unsure of is if you can change the eyes or not. There does seem to be a round plate on the back of the head but it seems molded shut, so I don't think I will try opening it and risk ruining her because her included eyes are inset, big and beautiful. She's a standard 1/3 doll so you can switch her outfits as well. I can't believe I paid only $89 for her on black Friday for a full doll with a wonderful outfit and faceupand body makeup already done. I am an adult very new to bjd and saving up for more expensive legit bjd, but I would also consider buying another one of these for my daughter. Such amazing quality for the price, can't praise her enough!

I wanted to review because she is Gorgeous! I put 4 stars only because she lost a few lashes and one of her ankle joints is a bit loose. HOWEVER, for the price and everything included, she is well worth it. She cames with her dress, a petticoat and crinoline for great volume. She comes with a set of pears and her hair accessories as well. There was also an extra bag of goodies. She poses well and I'm very happy to display her.

So she’s my first bjd doll and I’m ultra happy with her. Honestly wasn’t expecting her to look so beautiful. She seems to be well made and very pretty although I am redoing her makeup otherwise if you’re on the fence get her worth every penny

New to BJD and this was a great alternative to the Smart Doll and Porcelain BJD, which were $500+. Selina was my first choice but I found Jila on sale for $68 so I bought her instead and regret it immediately when it arrived (review under Jila).Selina is gorgeous! Worth the wait and price. Pros: detailed makeup with precision on her face, finger nails and toes, all joints are easy to bend, hair is soft and silky, comes with an OK stand, the gorgeous details on the dress (embroideries, roses/pearl/bows accents, intact lace sleeves, and that gorgeous headband) and free gifts (I got 2 headbands, pair of comb and mirror, wand, tiara, misc. colorful hair rubber bands).Cons: strong chemical smell (hopefully, this will go away over time), a few smears/dots of black paint/dye/dirt on various part of the body (luckily it was small and in areas that can be covered up with clothes).Highly would recommend UCanaan if you're starting out or just wanted to expand your wonderful collection.

The clothes quality is just ok. The scarf was very frayed, and not seemed on the sides. The makeup was not exactly as shown in the photograph. The wigs are a terrible fit and wont stay on the doll, they are very difficult to put on and too tight.
