Perfect for mixing your own spices/herbs for storage and use. Great quality. The shaker side holes are a little bigger than your average salt shaker. I personally use these for my salt that comes in a bag and am happy with the amount the shaker lets out. Just gently shake. It seals great as well, no leaks. Quick shipping and delivery! I'm fed up with narrow necked spice bottles in which measuring spoons don't fit! So . . . I bought 6 of these. Not only can a measuring spoon fit, but 1 side opens with a straight edge to level the spoon for an exact amount. The other side opens for sprinkling. I just can't say enough about how pleased I am to be able to recycle the bottles that just don't work (I'm talking to you Spice Islands and McCormick!!!!)

I use these to store my home made ghost pepper powder and other spices. I prep and dehydrate my ghost peppers (and other spices), grind them down with a mortar and pestel, and store them in these containers. So far they have kept the flavor of the spices while keeping out most humidity. The containers and lids are of high quality and so far they have been working great for me. As I need more I will be buying these again.

They worked great in the beginning, but after having some ramen powder in one of them for a while, the lid no longer really shut as it got too plugged up with the spice. Overall, not bad for the price, but constant cleaning might be needed.
