I know most people will be more satisfying than me. Because all of my friends that looked at it where pleasantly surprised at the quality of art and level of added options to the game. Even with my slight ( and I mean slight! ) Disappointment. It's still needed to run a truly magical campaign. And as it's a hard back book it well worth the cost in longevity of the product alone. If you are running Witcher. Save yourself from lost time and headaches. Get the tomb of chaos and the Witcher's journal. And then breath easy. It's only reading from there.

Horrible damage to the book
The book cost me over 30 bucks it should at the very least be a new book. The quality of this cover is abyssmal. Should have purchased else where

Sapkowski's magic lore as explained in the books is inconsistent, the book does nothing to resolve this. If chaos is formed by the will of the mage, why are elixers and material components needed? Why do magical forces gather in the magical elements (earth, wather, air and fire) and not in the chemical elements? The most explicit description in the books is artefact decompression through the use of the reflections of light by crystals. How does this fit into the concept of chaos and the elements? None of these obvious questions are answered. Sad, because this book would have been the best place to do it.
