Didn’t measure accurately
Unfortunately the hourglass did not accurately measure time. It said 15 minutes had passed when a digital timer showed only nine minutes. We tried it and timed it several times with the same results. Will be returning for a refund. I would prefer to contact the seller directly to resolve this problem, but it wasn’t an option.

time in the sauna
Screws did not come with hourglass for mounting, but the item itself is great.

Home Sauna
This item seems to be working fine. I am in the early stages of use in my sauna. However, so far so good. After some use I had a problem with the glass, but the seller did an excellent job of responding to my problem and now I am a very happy customer.

First, we don't have a sauna...
Okay, so we don't have a sauna, so what do we want with this timer? I get very irritated by loud noises--alarms and timers are not very restful. So when I am cooking or making tea and need a timer of some sort, I don't really want to hear a beeper or alarm. I want peace and quiet, a restful atmosphere. So voila! A sand timer! This timer is make with beautiful wood, can simply be turned over to start the timer, has distinct 5, 10, and 15 minute marks on both ends, and can work for timing both my tea and my pasta. It also seems to be pretty accurate. I just love it!

Great idea but the sand gets stuck.

Decorative alternative!
Even though we have an electronic timer built into our sauna, this adds a nice aesthetic and a more organic feel to our sessions. Options for 5, 10 or 15 minutes.

Stops working, bad product
There is no real scale on the timer; I had to make marks at 5,10, and 15 minutes. They were nowhere near the numbers printed on the wood. After two weeks the sand would stop flowing at random times. One would have to flip it over and start again. Then, the sand started to visibly stick to the glass walls of the instrument. Sticky sand does not flow. This is a bad prodcut
