A: yes for washing. then it snaps back into the base to use

**Q: I have the KitchenAid 2 speed hand blender. Will the attachment work with it?**
A: I have a kitchen aid too and it works perfec, I guess it also depends on the model and not just the brand.
But i recomendó you check the model.
I went in the website when I got it.

**Q: Why are 40 percent of reviews lowest possible ?**
A: I don't know why they are so low.  My husband used this attachment and LOVED it.  He was amazed at how fast the egg whites whipped up but he had to use the higher setting.

**Q: I'd become my two-speed hand mixer ?**

There is a reduction gear so the whisk isn't running at the full speed of the motor. That makes it spin off balance and adds to the flimsy feeling. However it does a good job. I just hope it lasts.
