It’s great for gaming if you have an AMD computer setup, or more specifically an amd gpu, because of its free sync. It’s very bright, and its darks are otherworldly, but not completely black, as they are not oled. I don't plan to do this anytime soon because of the lack of flicker. I had hoped that the sound quality would be great as the monitor has 5 watt speakers. They're better than previous monitor speakers I've used but I found they sound muddy and certainly don't provide me with an "immersive multimedia experience". Adjustability is great and I also like the buttons on the side and the interface they've provided for changing settings. This xg3220 seems to be a bit off on color however, and the speakers are just aweful. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have external speakers. And you can fix the color issues with calibration through windows, or using the on monitor menu. The controls for the menu are very frustating since there is no remote, and the buttons are on the back like TV instead of the front like a monitor. Putting the buttons on the back works fine on a tv because you have a remote to use. Putting on the back when you have to use them makes it a very fiddly and rage inducing procedure. That said, I do really like this monitor, but if you want a monitor that is perfect out the box you may need to spend a bit more.
