Seems like a good prototype...
CPAP PM2.5Overall review score: 3 of 5 - Excellent Idea / device design is Not up to the task yet. I am not giving up, yet...Summary: To big and clunky to work for me without a strap. Strap included is to big for me. I selected this product over others like it because it included the strap. I write all of this to figure it out, as I am not ready to give up, but it is far from ideal. The device is still to big, clunky and maybe noisy to achieve the desired benefits. It did not help me sleep longer at this point. Background:I learned about CPAP on TV via ads that focused on the issues of CPAP - oxygen supply and cost, cords and masks, etc.I learned about devices like this one from an ad in a travel/tourist magazine.I searched online and at local store of a national pharmacy and only Amazon seemed to have variations of this device available.I read the Amazon reviews of these device types and selected this one for trial because it included the strap. In general similar device failure reviews indicated battery issues, fit, and staying in place.Other reviews complained that the batteries of these devices did not last all night.Generally a side sleeper, I roll several times a night. I was concerned this device would not stay. Also, I usually wake up on my stomach another concern is sleeping on top of this device = comfort and retention TBD.Breakdown:I have had apnea issues I believe most of my life. It is increased in issue as I have aged, and more impactful with sleep and health in the last few years.I have used breath right/ clear passage strips for years, and they are far from perfect. When I saw an ad for these "Travel CPAP" type items I decided to try one.I could not find one at a local store physically or via online search for local brick/mortar locations, while Amazon had several options. I read many product descriptions and reviews. Eventually selected this one as it included a strap for the device, where reviews often sited fit and keeping these device types in place as an issue. When I was first thinking about these devices and the price, I thought: if they work and the cost is what I am seeing I could get a clean fresh one monthly. Given my findings, I hope the improvements needed on these devices don't drive them to be much more expensive.Device:Comes in small box with the device, short USB cord for charging, instruction book and a strap. Plus a pair of unexpected ear plug that are ironic an amusing.I think the buttons go to the top and the curved side goes bottom to my upper lip ???Strap:Too long for my head and ears! I am a full grown 6' adult.I don't think the strap fitting to my ears is the right angle for my nose. So the strap needs more thought too...I will try to modify with dental braces rubber bands, or similar. It will need to be sturdy, light and soft/comfortable.Instructions:The instruction sheet is small and short, but gives enough instruction to use the device. Has a few confusing typos, but it works. There could be some translation to English issues also - it seems it was written by a not English writer. The images are small but instructive. Plan to review them a couple times. The instructions mention PM2.5 filter and allergens. This was intriguing, confusing, but launched me into other potentials for better breathing with this device.Early the instructions say "...every night you get a clean device with no cleaning to do, ever" and later it give instruction to clean with water or alcohol as needed. I suspect it is somewhere in between.I think the buttons go to the top and the curved side goes bottom to my upper lip ???Mine seems to need to be powered on, then hit M button at least once to start the fan.First Experience with device:I tried to turn on the device w/o charge and I saw the fans rotate a couple times and stop. On to charging.I plugged the device via the short USB cord into my PC monitor USB port (light turned on) and it dangled and charged in a couple hours (not sure how long, but light turned off). I kinda don't understand these short USB cords, but it held the weight of the device dangling.I turned the device on and the fans spun up immediately.I put the device in my nostrils and it fell right out when I let go of it. I think the nostril fittings are supposed to be wider than nose and squeeze inward to old out nostrils and also keep device in place (???). I also don't think the nostril fittings are deep (long) enough relative to my septum. Maybe there are more silicon nostril size/fittings? One for all does not seem to work.I put the strap on the device and tried it on again. The strap was too long (big) and did not hold the device secure while standing.I decided to try the device with strap on and without modification.I put the device with strap on and laid down on back and turned it on.The device is quiet on the first stage M button fan speed setting, while it gets noisy on the other stages. I think this noise for other stages is too loud and would annoy my spouse. I tapped it back to the 1st stage and relaxed on back.Besides the weight, it does assist and was more comfortable than I feared.I eventually (still slightly aware) rolled to my left side and went to sleep. I think the device woke me up and not snoring though.I woke up a little over 4 hours later with the device under my cheek, the straps still loosely on my ears and the power off. I know I had been snoring at this point, congested in my throat.I rolled back to my back, cleared my throat, found the device started again when the power was pressed, tried the other stages, too loud and when back to stage 1 as spouse moved due to the noise.Usually when I wake up at this point I am up for more than an hour to clear my throat/breathing paths. At this point I am either just up or eventually may be able to go back to sleep. This morning I was able to clear in a few breaths, but did not get back to sleep - I think mostly thinking about my review of this device and modifications I will attempt on the strap.I got out of bed but not giving up. At least yet.Overall, I found inhaling and exhaling comfortable with the device in place. This really was impressive.Oxygen Concentrator:I am not sure what exactly is meant by this term, but scientifically (???) I am not sure it is an accurate description. The fans and filter creating increased pressure is is an intriguing idea, which I found all of the M switch stages of fan pressure to be comfortable. Fans did not blow too hard, just noisy with setting higher than initial stage.Cleaning and Life:So the "silicon ???" nasal fitting can be removed, cleaned and replaced. See instructions on cleaning.I am not sure how to clean the device it self.Cleaning makes me question the life of the device. At the current price it is not un-affordable to buy new clean ones as needed. Also, the battery life, filtering and buttons are yet to reveal functionality for any length of time.Amazon Reviews:While trying to read review on these CPAP products I saw the devices had reviews on Detergent (tide?) and other Sharp object like knives. So amazon reviews process has issues.I don't think I can come back and modify my review as I learn or maybe eventually give up on the device.

Worked for me
I am waiting on my cpap machine and bought this in the interim. You must have the strap to hold it on and wiggle it to get it in your nostrils. I found it relatively comfortable and chose the speed of the fan. I have suffered with sleep apnea and I will always keep this around for traveling. I recommend this product.

Uncomfortable
I'm not sure if it really works or not. My fiancé said it's too uncomfortable to wear.

Helps me sleep when I can't use my CPAP
I normally sleep with a CPAP machine to counter mild sleep apnea. However I frequently camp with the scouts and lugging a CPAP and batteries is not feasible. The "anti-snoring unit" was purchased with the hope that it would get me through the nights when I'm camping or on trips.I'm happy to report that for me it does the job. With the fan on the middle speed setting I get just enough pressure and flow to sleep soundly. The ear strap has kept it in place every night of the ten nights that I have used it. I am pleased with the results. The only negative is that I detect a slight noise when it is in contact with my pillow case. The battery recharges quickly from a small solar charger / battery pack that I also use for my phone. The unit looks funny and flimsy, but does the job.

If only it was smaller…
And quieter. It works, it’s pretty quiet now, and is small compared to the CPAP scuba gear setups, and it creates some airflow. It helps early in the first half of the night but inevitably it slides off. It’s difficult to get it tight enough to stay put.It contains 2 tiny plastic fans that are blowing air into your nose. Pretty simple concept. It’s not so strong that it bothers me. I’ll continue trying it, with and modifications that I can make, and see how it does.

Doesnt stay on. Good air flow but useless.

Does not fit as described
This product states a tight seal and unit stays in place but it is very loose fitting into the nostrils and even with included strap, tilts forward out of nose and underside presses toward upper lip. It has three speeds, and is not noisy otherwise. If they can provide more than one size nostril insert and strap, maybe the device might work. If the edge of the unit were not so square but more curved, it might form fit better to the nose and mouth. Good idea but I think they need to try redesigning the casing in addition to different size nostril inserts snd strap. Not one size fits all.

No fluye aire
Es mínimo, o nulo el aire que producen los abanicos qué tiene. Hace más ruido que el aire qué generan. No lo recomiendo.
