Will this support the weight of a large house cat?

As ridiculous as this question is once upon a TRUE time Dr. Elaine R. or W. DVM I forget at the time a wonderful vet brought home our SUPER SIZED long haired Siamese lady stuffed inside of all things a small shoe box. Shiloh was sound asleep after her surgery & fit nicely in the box despite she's like 3 times bigger when not in the box? Our lovely Vet who made house calls back in the 70's in Fort Collins scooped her neatly out of the box and handed her to me. So perhaps this is a legit question afterall. One never knows. I made the mistake only this year of asking if the tension pole would hold a 17 pound cat? OHMYGosh my question was barred and reported to the Amazon crimes division I believe. It was a legit question. We have a poor baby our vet gifted us with that has no tail due to a spina bifida condition. He's pretty normal and no one would know he's got physical issues that requires his human parents to clip his fur & he's such a scardy cat we bought him a cat sling they do sell these on Amazon too & now needed a tension pole to set low in our 6' long shower stall close to the floor so kitty wouldn't get hurt if he did manage to get loose. Anyway with limited characters to ask a question sometimes there is a loss in transition so to speak. My only real answer to this question is this. It depends on the Size of the Large House Cat and the choice of box you are asking to fit said kitty in. My advise is to safe a few shipping boxes that come close in size and see how well kitty fits or takes to them. Maybe save yourelf some money in buying said kitty a Fancy Box as his comfy box. Many a cat fits themselves into iity boxes and small containers that no way is that possible. But they know it is and they like it. Watch a few Youtube box loving kits and your eyes and mind will open to this is not a bad question at all. Lets hope not.

How much weight does the hold? I have a fat cat and he likes to walk on my records

Have a stack of 4 with each weighing around 35 lbs each and they are holding up very well.

I don't understand these dimensions, what measures 2"?

There absolutely IS a 2" dimension listed. The product dimensions as shipped are 13.2" Length x 2" Height x 14.5" Width. Once out of the packaging, unfolded, and all snapped together, the boxes are 13.375" x 12.625" x 12.5".
