Light and easy to use.
I got this to trim a branch from a tree that was catching the telephone wires when it got windy. Easy to assemble and great adjustable height reach. Bit of chainsaw oil ( I actually used vegetable oil) and voila, tree sorted. It's a great bit of kit. I was impressed by how light it was, not to mention how quickly it cut through the offending branch as well as chopping this down to a reasonable size for the recycling. For the price it is excellent. The instructions are easy to follow. Admittedly with my eyesight, I had to enlarge the instructions to be able to read them properly. But instructions are included, which seems to be rare with so many items these days. I would recommend this item.

Good product
It's a good product, I was originally going to return it as It doesn't stay in place when fully extended. But I ran past the return date. I have used it many times and do like it, I just don't fully extend it as I don't feel it is safe to do so. It did look like a previously returned item, there were oil/ dirt smudges in multiple places.

A cutting edge tool.
Very effective on medium thickness branches. I was cutting low hanging ash branches of two-three inches thick. Remember to tighten the chain as per instructions before/ after use or chain will fly off. I had some trouble pushing the two halves of the shaft together when assembling, but a spot of vaseline cured that. The whole thing is quite heavy. Probably need to make better use of the shoulder strap than I did to balance it. A cap comes with one of the shafts to cover the electrical connection in transit - this is worth keeping and using for storage purposes.

Mixed feeling
Nice product for a good price. Used it for three days and it worked nicely. But after that, the chain tightening ring and the cover nut (holding the chain saw securely in place) became loose and couldnt be tightened resulting in the chain saw falling off every time i turned it on. I have sent it back to the seller for a replacement.

Hard to use and mangles branches
This chainsaw was very disappointing. It was heavy overall, provided a small number of angles to cut branches (which could be easily fixed by allowing handle adjustment) and required a significant amount of downward pressure to cut through branches of even 8cm diameter. This meant branches weren't cut at the best angle for the plant and some branches were not cut through cleanly. If you just want to cut up a tree you're about to get rid of, then the infection risk of mangled branches isn't an issue...if you like your tree or bush, your small electric handsaw will be more effective, than this product claiming to be for specialist use. Even using it to reduce the size of cut branches was near impossible and required a similar pressure to using a handsaw. I'm sure there are good and effective, telescopic chainsaws, this particular product is not one of them, unfortunately.

Works well but pay attention to safety instructions
It provides an extension that is very useful. While relatively light in weight can still be awkward to use. Make sure you follow the safety instructions carefully. It does need some work to put it together but is efficient once running. Overall I would say good value.
