Could I put these on a slash 2wd or do i have to stick with regular size tires?

These are much too large to work, as is on a standard slash. If you want a "Monster truck" style slash, I would suggest going with 2.8" tires (standard slash uses 2.2") and upgrading your motor to a brushless (I run a Castle 3800kv) and modify your gear ratio (I run 16/86) so you don't overheat your motor. (I'd suggest a bare-bones thermal gun to monitor your temps if you want to min/max your gears) But I've run that motor and wheel combo on a 2S 40c Lipo through snow, mud, slush, sand, thick lawn, water and even on pavement with no issues. Hope that helps you some.

Will they work with the original x-maxx with the 8s power up upgrade?

Yes same tires as the 1st gen trucks

Is there a difference between this tire and the regular one (other than the price) for the X-Maxx and if so, what is the difference?

Yes these are the 8s rated tires ..The other ones are for the 6 s xmaxx
