This is quite a stiff felt. Great for what I needed it for but not quite what I was expecting

I was looking for quality WOOL felt squares, and settled on these knowing they were for crafts. I used them to design appliqués (motifs) for baby clothing. They do wash well, but they are 'crisp', not soft, so not suitable for larger decorations on clothing. Wool felt is the best for such use, but almost impossible to find in assorted felt squares.

Desperate to complete something and needing FELT to do this, felt having a softness and this supposedly containing 30% wool... l trusted the description and honesty of the seller.This is a medium weight coloured Vilene, perfect for backing fabric and being unseen.It is stiff like card, it is shiny fibres and has no give in it, fold it to try achieve something and the fold lines stay and like Vilene, its transparent in places.It has no relationship to wool whatsoever and the kindest thing l can say about it is the colours are bright and vibrant.If you want felt, please dont buy this unless youre looking for disappointment.Id love my money back!!FollowupIf you know what real feels like, please stay away from this rubbish. Great colours, crap quality.Would be ok for card craft, or collage but honestly I don’t know what I am supposed to do with this lot as I wanted it to make felt flowers and it is not going to work. Sewing won’t work either.

The felt is sheer you can see through some areas. I am making a quite book. Will probably have to buy a different kind. So disappointed. Since I have already opened and used some pieces I cannot return it. Waste of money.Now I have been working with the felt it’s working better than I thought so changing my stars.
