Inexpensive and impressive option for a "pop-up" office
About a year ago, a customer support rep from a company I work with was raving about the "portable monitors" her team had acquired. I remember being intrigued by the concept but I'd yet to encounter an application for such a thing -- both my home and on-site offices were already equipped with full-sized, dual screens. However, since then, my wife and I acquired a travel trailer, out of which I plan to work remotely on occasion. I started thinking about using the trailer's onboard HD TV as a second monitor but it's really too far away from my workspace to serve as a 2nd monitor. I then thought of hauling and extra, full-sized monitor along but the work to set it up, tear it down and find storage space seemed to outweigh the benefit. Then I remembered that conversation last year about portable monitors ....The ZenScreen seemed to garner good reviews, and I've been happy with other Asus products I've purchased in the past. Mine arrived yesterday and I gotta' say that I'm rightly impressed.I'm not sure why you'd want to consider the larger models as those seem to fly in the face of portability. But the 16" model (15.6" viewable) is lightweight and small enough to coexist with a laptop in most computer bags. Setup is fast and easy – a quick-connect kickstand allows you to place the display right next to your laptop at the perfect angle. Power and video are simultaneously delivered via a single USB C connection. And brightness, contrast and image quality really exceeded my expectations. My local Target store has a similar Asus 16" ZenScreen for twice the price. The performance specs seem identical to this one. The only difference seems to be that it has an integrated folding stand verses the screw-on "kickstand." While the integrated stand seemed a bit more convenient, it didn't look as sturdy (especially when propping up the display in portrait mode) and I couldn't justify twice the price.Obviously, I have not yet had enough time to speak to the long-term reliability of this product. I'll be sure to edit this review in the future if I encounter any issues. However, this Asus backs the ZenScreen with a 3-year warranty and, as I said, the company has a good reputation for quality. So far, I enthusiastically recommend the ZenDesk portable display for those who travel with a laptop and have the need for dual displays.

Great portable monitor with excellent picture and versatile mounting options
I bought this monitor to mount on my recumbent stationary bike so I can watch shows while exercising. The screen size is perfect for my need. I am glad the versatile mounting options which comes with this monitor - I was able to mount the monitor securely above my recumbent bike. The picture quality is excellent - with slight adjustment I am able to get the picture quality close to my iPad Pro. The contrast, brightness, and color fidelity is excellent on this monitor. The sound coming out of its speakers is clear and usable even though there's not much bass / much better than a cheaper monitor I had tried prior to getting this one.The connectivity is great - I am able to connect my iPhone and iPad via USB-C and the monitor can even charge my iPhone and iPad. I also connect an Apple TV to this monitor.Overall this is a versatile portable monitor with excellent picture and decent sound. Highly recommend this.

Best Travel Monitor Ever Made
This monitor has been an absolute game changer for travel. I used to hate traveling for work since it took me away from my home office setup. This monitor cuts the pain of that tremendously by having a second high quality screen to work off of. The set up is dead simple to pack since it is just a single USB C cable which I already carry for travel anyways. If you are looking for a travel monitor and don't want to break the bank, this is by far your best option for the money.

Great, But With Compromises
I really like this product, there are a few things that can't be avoided with this form factor and some things that could be better regardless.First, the negative:- It's a good form factor having the screen powered and having the display delivered through one USB-C port. This is one reason why I bought this so I would only have to plug in one cord to both power and to display the screen. However, it's bad because I can't power it and display with Samsung Dex on my Galaxy S23. With some powered USB-C docks I've been able to make it work, but just with the included cable and connecting straight to my phone, it didn't work.- It's an LCD screen. I bought this thinking that it was an OLED because that was one of the specs I put into Rufus (Amazon's shopping Ai chatbot) and he recommended this one. However, seeing that it's an LCD, I almost sent it back. It is good for what it is though. I like how bright it is (it almost is as bright as my 2021 14" MacBook Pro).As for things that could be changed while keeping this form factor:- I like that it has a covering case, that's another reason why I chose this product, but the case it has doesn't seem like it's going to last. I coverers it well and is a great stand, but I am not confident it will keep from being roughed up since I keep it in my backpack and constantly pull it out. It hasn't show many signs of wear yet, but it probably will. I've only had it for less than a month.Things I like:- It has good brightness as I mentioned above- I didn't know when I bought it, but it has a 1/4-20 tripod screw mount in the back. I really like that feature, but I usually just use it with the case that folds into a stand- The protective case that folds into a stand is good for what it is. I saw some comments before I bought it that it was flimsy and couldn't hold the screen up. I have found quite the opposite. It holds it up really well and the two viewing angle options are good for whatever I need it for. I usually have it in the more upright position. The only downside about the stand function of the case is that it's usually only good on flat surfaces. While I have used it on a pillow when I'm sitting on the couch, it is a lot less sturdy than my laptop or other things would be. That's where the tripod mount on the back is useful.- I like how portable it is. As I said, I use this a lot on the go as a part of my backpack setup. I pull it out for my work laptop and for doing schoolwork all the time. If you're looking for a more permanent feature for your desk at home or something, this is a cheap option, but being portable is a negative if you want it to just always be in one spot. You can get a more robust and probably better-looking screen for the same price or less.
