Safe but expensive to replace every 2 years
The price has gone up, of course, 2 years after my first purchase. This mat is the answer for something that stays in place in a textured floor bathtub/shower. However, after 2 yrs use and the edging coming off, it is no longer safe and slipped a bit when I stepped in the shower this morning. Very scary for a 75 yr old person. I will need to purchase a new one at the higher price. I always dried it out immediately, over the edge of the tub, don't know what else I could do to make it last longer. It would be nice if the manufacturer would read reviews and address concerns...

For use in a "Refinished Bath Tub"
This is a rubber tub mat designed for use in a "refinished bath tub" as it has no suction cups which could shorten the life of the "refinish". It seems to have a slight grayish cast to it. I would have prefered a lighter more flexible mat, but could not find one. If you have a towel bar in your bath to hang it on when not in use, that would be helpful, as it's a bit stiff and heavy to hang on the side of the tub. I searched and this mat was the only one I could find for this particular need. It stays in place and doesn't move.

Overall good
I just purchased this mat. My tub was just reglazed and when I was told I could no longer use a mat with suction cups or anything stick yet was also told to be very careful because it would be very easy to slip ion new tub surface I wondered if getting my tub reglaze was worth it. It looked great but I love to soak in the tub and didnt want to fall. I found this on the site while searching for what was safe to use on reglazed tub surfaces. I was thrilled and was excited when it arrived. Ive used it once do far and it was great. I was able to get in & out of tub without slipping. It was comfortable to sit on even while soaking for an hour. After my bath i wiped it off then rolled it up & stood it up in my sink to allow any other water to drain off. One negative is I wish it would have been longer so it would have covered the length of the bottom of the tub. Only other negative was I ordered white but was sent gray. I did not want to wait gor a new one to arrive so I have kept it but was disappointed.

Great tub mat!
I like this tub mat because it gives me a sense of security. A neighbor had a bad fall in her shower and I worried it could happen to me. I feel safer with this tub mat!

Not what I expected.
This mat is comfortable to stand on but the suction does not work. I am finding myself having to move it around to place it back.

Good Device to Prevent Slip or Fall in the Bathroom
I bought the mat for my parents who are 88 and 98 years old respectively. They have a bathroom that is designed for seniors and is equipped with lots of grab bars and railing around the shower stall. However, my parents still find the floor of the shower stall a bit slippery even it is not a smooth surface. I suppose this is because their feet are relatively weaker than younger people. I put the mat on the floor of the shower stall and they just love it as they feel a lot safer when moving around in the shower stall. It is very hard to find a mat for non-smooth surface as there are not many choices in the marketplace. I am so glad this product works on a non-smooth surface.

Works Great, but could be a bit longer
This bathtub mat is rated as being safe for refinished tubs. Instead of suction cups, it has hollow "pillows" which act like low-strength suction cups when you step on them. It's enough to keep you from slipping, but without putting a lot of strain on the bathtub surface. The mat also dries quickly when hung over the side of the tub, so mildew would seem to not be a problem. Time will tell. My only quibble is that I wish the mat was 6 inches longer. This would give me no-slip footing no matter how I move under the shower head. It's a minor issue, but it would be nice.

Have a non-slip tub, tried three kinds of matts. This was the best. It’s pretty good but not amazing
I have an 11-month old and the “non-slip” bottom of our tub isn’t grippy enough for when he tries to reach, crawl or stand in our tub. This definitely helps keep his butt in place when he wants to reach. Generally okay for crawling/standing as he goes kind of slow, but very wobbly while learning control. It move around a little bit in these circumstances. Still way better than nothing. It would work better if it was heavier. There’s no suction of any kind going on, it just seems to work by weight, especially in a bath.

Doesn't suction to textured tub!!
I bought this purely because it stated that it would suction to a textured bathtub and it certainly does not. I tried everything, dry, wet, anything I could think of to get this to work and it absolutely DOES NOT. It does on a smooth surface but that doesn't help me at all. Otherwise it is a nice material and seems like good quality. Pretty disappointed as well because my grandmother bought me a $7 rubber one at Walmart and surprisingly it works perfectly (and said right on the packaging that it wouldn't).

Discolored my finish
Used this on my freshly refinished tub and it caused yellow staining and made indents in the bottom of my tub. I'm assuming this happened because I used it too soon after the tub was coated (3 days). I will try it again in about 30 days but won't be happy if it happens again with the yellowing. Company did advise me to clean with baking soda and a magic eraser which took the yellow off luckily.Otherwise it works fine
