This iron cover really protects your clothes from being burned and ruined. I was skeptical and debating between iron press pad but ultimately choose the iron over for convenience and ease of use. It's easy to attach and I've ironed slacks and over plastic zipper without excessive heat melting the fabric.

Works great, no material burns

I was about to toss my $100+ Rowenta iron because it kept messing up my clothes with burns and brown stains from the residue, even though I used distilled water, until I found this thing. I haven't had any problems since I started using it, even while using steam, unlike the other reviews said. It might be a bit small for some irons, since it barely fits mine, but it's seriously saved me.

I placed this on my iron and put my iron on medium heat. I like the fact that it does not leave shiny marks on my clothing but it melted to the surface of the iron. While the outside still looks great, there must have been a residue or something on the inside that was like a clear plastic that melted to the iron.
