To be honest I do not clean my tank as often as I should because it was always a pain. With this new gadget, I was able to clean 90% of the tank in significantly less time than I used to spend just cleaning the front glass. I have an acrylic tank and the corners are rounded so the scrapper does not do those corners but otherwise, it works like a dream. I used the plastic scrapers and then flipped it for some light buffing. The only time it is this clean is when I drain the whole tank and clean it out which is not often since it is a 50 galleon tank.

Well, after 20+ years of using my "Algae Free Tigershark", I upgraded to this brand due to good reviews.I feel this was an upgrade due to the increased magnetic pull and bilateral blades. Cut cleaning time by about 1/3 of my old magnet. The acrylic is much cleaner with this magnet, than my old one.Con: Doesn't take corners as fast as the tigershark and therefore, will keep the old one in the tank just for the one side.Overall> 5 stars. I hope this one lasts 20+ years also.Oh, and for the price, I suggest going as big as you can afford.

This is a great scraper and worth the money.We've tried various magnetic scrapers on our 300 gal tank with 3/4" (19 mm) glass, resorting to hard manual scraping when calcified algae builds up. Until we got this scraper, I figured a couple of fifteen-minute glass cleaning sessions a week and a sweaty wet-hands scraping session every month were just normal penance for owning a big glass tank.This scraper changed the game. In less than five minutes, the tank glass is cleaner than a half-hour of manual scraping, even when calcified algae is present. There are three reasons for this. First, it is big, with two wide blades aligned at a perfect scraping angle, so it scrapes at least 4x faster than our old large magnetic scraper. Second, the magnets are very strong, so they hold tight to the glass. Third, the blades are the only thing touching the glass with no scrub pad spreading out the force, so all the dual, big, wide, strong scraping power goes straight to the blades. Plus, you can get right down to the sand bed since there is no pad to collect sand that might scratch your glass.I thought spending so much on a scraper was ridiculous, but this is an example where the right tool for the job makes a huge difference. It saves me hours a month, and the tank looks better.

The media could not be loaded. This cleaning magnet is relatively expensive but gives good value for the price. It is very easy to clean with it on both sides.

Very nice cleaner! Metal edge cleans very nice. And the soft side also does well. Easy flip.

Hesitant to buy due to pricing, however exceeded my expectations.

only the blades are touching the glass so there is less of a chance for the glass to get scratched from sand. IT IS PERFECT!

Magnets are nice and strong; holds very well on my 3/4" glass. It's also very easy to flip, and to move it to another wall of the tank. Definitely worth the money.
