Questionable Product
Original Review:01-22-2018 09:18Fresh out of the box as it slid into my hand, my first thought was "what kind of made in china POS did i buy this time?" & we'll see just how far off i might have been.First things to note:-Yes it is made in china-It is SUPER light for what it is & it's size. It's large at roughly 4.25"X2.25"X1", & i'd wager to say that internally it's 85% air. I've got plenty of Li-ion chargers, & this one is the lightest one yet, & that's not always a "good thing". (sorry martha stewart)-No Instructions. Yeah i know what some of you are thinking, "it's just a charger, you stick it in the outlet, you stick the battery in it, done, what more do you need to know". & yes, it is just that simple, yet there are some things that i personally like to know. For example, what i should be expecting from the LED indicator lights, should they be solid, flashing, red/green, one versus two, & so forth. Not critical things, but important things none the less, so one knows that the product is performing to spec.-The wiring, for lack of a better word, seems faulty. With the charger NOT plugged in, i inserted my battery & the LED lit up (blue). While this is not a "horrible" thing, it is very poor wiring circuitry. From all the previous reviews, i know that this thing will take over 6 hours to charge, so i'll have to come back & finish the review later. So far it feels like a POS, looks like a POS, & is acting like a POS, but we'll just have to see how it performs over time. So while this is assuredly NOT the best/greatest charger that i have ever purchased, it may be the best that you are going to find on the market for this purpose.

PowerBear Travel Charger
I purchased this as a replacement for an Anker charger. Looks like they are all made from the same mold and first impression is that they work the same. When you install the battery, the light is blue and when plugged in it turns sort of purple as it's charging. Blue again means it's finished charging. So far the only difference I really see is that when you put the battery in this one, the little light comes on (even though it's NOT plugged in), whereas the Anker wouldn't do that until it was plugged in. The actual plug/prongs on the Anker cracked and fell apart after a year or so of use. It would still work but I had to wiggle it while it was plugged in to get it to work right. So after messing with that for a while, that's why I decided to order this replacement. So far, so good.

No ruined or exploding batteries if you forget it for a while.
Just bought this as it said it was made to not overcharge. I like to plug in one battery at night but it would finish before morning. Waking at 2AM to pull the plug gets old. I don't know when this technology came out but it is very nice to plug in and get up, unplug and not have a swollen or overcharged battery. I hope it will continue to work this way for several years.I could not get batteries to charge with the wall charger last week and thought I would be replacing 2 of them. then I discovered they charged fine on the car charger. My Note 4 is battery hungry and uses two slim extended life batteries a day and I am not a power user. I was very happy when I bought this and my batteries charged up just fine in it.

Economical and does the trick.
*** I use my phone a lot, and needed to be able to swap a full battery in the phone and yet be able charge the "empty" one. This did the trick. The only (debatable) negative: it doesn't come with any kind of instructions.** Instructions: Plug the unit in, the light is blue to indicate it's on. Slip the battery in, the light turns fuschia pink - and when the battery is charged, the light turns blue again.* It feels cheaply made, as it's a light weight plastic, so my initial reaction was "Nope..sending it back" - but it has an ABS fire enclosure. I've used it 3 days in a row, twice charging overnight, no overheating.

It does work (I guess)...
It will charge your Note 4 batteries while charging another device, although I'm not sure it does it efficiently. It does not charge your device or battery very fast, so plan on setting it up before bed so it charges through the night. One odd feature is the LED light. A red LED indicates as normal: dead battery, but as the battery charges it will gradually change to purple and then blue when fully charged. I don't personally care for a single LED-for-all indication; rather I prefer a..."graduating" set of LEDs the indicate the progress. Or, in the case of this charge, I would expect at the very least either a red LED that turns green when fully charged or a flashing LED that becomes a steady light (of any color) when fully charged.

Charging pins on the wrong side for larger batteries
This will only charge stock 3200mAH sized batteries. It does those just fine. Smelled awful the first couple uses (some sort of solvent was outgassing), but eventually that cleared up.My only real complaint besides the smell and slowness of charging is that it won't work with larger aftermarked Note 4 batteries, since they put the charging pins on the wrong side, which means the batteries have to be mounted in the charger backwards. This stops any battery that thicker than stock from fitting. If you only have stock size batteries, this is fine for a cheap charger. If you need to charge bigger batteries (the giant ZeroLemon ones for example), then skip this charger.

Good customer service.
Product last only 8 months; however, seller has a very good customer service and very responsive. Will buy from this Seller again.

Solid and steady charger
This charger works much better than others for Samsung 4, very solid and steady, with the red to blue light and parallel charging. Each night, put the smart phone and the additional battery to the charger and the next day things are done.
