Router's failover feature resolved an issue for us
We purchased this router for a small office, to address a problem with ongoing intermittent failures in our primary cable Internet connection, which would render our IP telephones as well as computers unusable. We have the cable connection on WAN1 and a DSL connection on WAN2. This failover function really works for us -- so well that now a phone conversation continues with just a momentary glitch as the connection fails over from WAN1 to WAN2. We do have the IP phones on wired connections, but more than half of the (12 to 20) computers in this office are on wireless connections without any problems. Overall we're pretty happy with this router.

Avoid this router!!!
This router is based of the Asus architecture, I'm not sure if it is properly licensed. Though because of this when I unboxed the router and connected it to my provider, it phoned home Asus and the Asus software re asserted itself. Locking me out of the controls. I disconnected it from the internet and did a 30-30-30 reset. l was able to get in the controls setup the WiFi and disable the remote management and things seemed to work. Forward two days later, the Asus software has re asserted itself and has locked down my network with no traffic flowing. My business is down and I'm losing money. I pull the router out of network and reinstalled the old one. I am now faced with another surprise, while this router was compromised it managed to install malicious software on my server. I take the main server offline and spin up the back up server. I got everything operational again and I still have to clean up this mess (network, server, and apologies to my Chinese customers). I will leave you with this. Avoid this router!!!

Still deciding
Bought to input to Ubiquiti bullets, 2.4ghz and 5ghz. Not sure if it deciding which bullet to use or which items I have connected gets which bullet.

Does not support IPv6
I bought this router in November 2020, when I got it I wanted to configure IPv6, did not find any option, send an email to support and they told me it doesn't support IPv6. Sad news.

Insecure and failed after 9 months
Setting this up was relatively easy and painless but documentation is abysmal and you have to guess on most of the advanced functions on how they actually work. This would be a nice buy on paper for a dual wan setup but after using it for 9 months, I got rid of it because: - UTT has never provided any update to the firmware in the 9 months I have owned it. Ridiculous if you follow the security issues which have been discovered in the same period which affect any linux based router. - Login to the router is done over HTTP (no TLS), so your password is pretty much available to anyone that is connected to the same network - Load balancing function is a joke as there is no way (manual or automatic) for this system to detect the wan is back to active after a failure. You need to reboot the router for it to start revalidating the main link. - The system abruptly stopped to route packets to the Lan ports for no visible reason and this was not solved by reseting the router to default nor refreshing it. I did not bother to contact support because it gave me the right excuse to replace it as I was tempted to do for a while because of the above issues. I therefore would not recommend this to anyone even though the wifi signal was pretty good and the price very reasonable.

Amazing value on a feature rich router!
Amazing value on a feature rich router, suitable for home use but ,with performance, features and manageability designed for sophisticated networks which includes multiple WAN or LAN configurable ports. Hundreds less than similar quality in other brands. I have never found such a high quality well made router with so many ENTERPRISE level features at this price, including built-in VPNs and performance and traffic monitoring. Very durable steel case. No plastic here. Very good range and coverage on WiFi. Perfect for SOHO. Easy set-up even for the inexperienced user.

Save yourself time. Spend a little more and get a router that does what it advertises.
I read other buyers reviews prior to purchase and was in hopes I would have one of the positive experiences with this router. Unfortunately this was not the case. I found many of the negative statements by other reviewers to be absolutely true. I tried both using the router with default settings and customizing it to exactly what I wanted and neither worked well. The router would disconnect on 2.4 and 5 ghz bands constantly. It had poor signal strength/range. It did not failover or load balance correctly. I could check my connection directly on both WANs and have high speed connectivity, but then slow or no internet through the router. I tried updating the firmware and that didn’t help either. The problems seem to all be with the wireless aspects of the router. The wired devices I plugged in seemed to all function correctly. Perhaps UTT has their act together for a dual WAN wired router, but they should leave the wireless work to someone else. I finally returned it after several days of fighting.

Power user router for those that need dual wan with all over support.
UI is great, having used multiple routers over the years it is as good as any and better than most. If you need handholding, it is doubtful you need a dual wan router to begin with. Using it with a netgear LTE modem in WAN2 and a DSL in WAN1, tested failure situations and am impressed with the functions of the router working as advertised and perfectly. It seamlessly moved all traffic from one WAN to the other as needed to maintain a solid connection. Wireless and wireless scurity work fine. Firewall and options are more advanced than most users will need, regardless of how 'advanced' they claim.
