Feature-packed, WiFi-enabled touch screen home media display
I’ve never purchased a digital photo frame before, and after buying this product, I am very impressed and think this is a great device that I will use often. Really, this could be called a 10-inch Android tablet designed for photo and video playback, because that’s what it is. The photo frame was attractively packaged and includes a power adapter, USB-A to USB-C cable, instruction manual and warranty information card, and of course the product itself. The power connector doubles as a stand — the instructions state that you cannot mount this to a wall, probably because of the power connector/stand that sticks out about 2 inches, but if you really wanted to, you probably could with a little creativity.Setup was very easy and straightforward: Download the “OurPhoto” app on your phone, plug in the tablet/frame, create an account, follow the instructions on the tablet, and you will have it connected to your account in minutes. The OurPhoto app is very easy to use and allows you to wirelessly send photos and videos to the tablet. You can use the app to take photos, record video, or upload from existing media on your phone. I did notice that when uploading existing videos on my phone through the OurPhoto app, the sound did not play. Not sure if that’s an issue with iPhone (my phone) specifically, but if you use the OurPhoto app to record video, the sound does play on the Dragon Touch frame. In addition to the OurPhoto app, the frame allows you to plug in a USB stick via the built in USB port, or connect it to your laptop/computer/phone/tablet via the included USB-A to USB-C cable. You can also copy files via an included FTP server by going into settings on the picture frame, tapping PC Control, and tapping the start button. The frame provides you with a local network address to allow you to connect and copy files from any computer or device on your home network via un-encrypted FTP. Interesting since I don’t think many people are familiar with FTP these days, but I tested it and the “PC Control”/FTP feature worked as expected. Copying media from the OurPhoto app is also easy and straightforward. The device allows you to manually accept requests from other people such as friends and family, to allow others to also upload media to the frame from the our photo app. The picture and video quality is very good and the screen brightness allows you to easily see it from across the room, and the touchscreen and interface in general is fast and responsive. The device itself has 16 GB of internal storage, with about 10 GB being available for pictures and videos, and you can also insert up to a 32GB micro SD card for more storage. The user interface allows you to delete and transfer media between USB, micro SD, internal storage, and your OurPhoto account which apparently gives you 10Gb free transfer according to the manual, with additional bandwidth available for purchase. I did not see the option to purchase additional storage, but think it’s a great feature that you can upload media via the app from your phone. I can see that being useful if you are away from home and want to quickly share photos and videos with your family at home. You can also zoom in and out via the touchscreen /pinch zoom, rotate images on the frame, and the frame itself can be physically set up in portrait or landscape mode, with the interface automatically rotating just like your phone or tablet, when you physically rotate the device. The device also allows you to set it to automatically turn on and off at a specific time every day, and allows you to set slideshow settings. The sound quality is about the same as the sound quality from a phone or a tablet.During initial setup and later via the settings menu, you can enter your city/location, and view your local weather from the digital frame’s Home Screen, a nice feature to have.Overall, I am very impressed with the Dragon Touch digital frame and appreciate all of the different methods of transferring media to the device, as well as the simple but effective design of the OurPhoto app. I was expecting a device that basically lets you view media from a SD card, but this is pretty much a computer that gives you plenty of options of viewing and sharing your digital photos and videos. The product appearance itself is also nice, and its neutral design should easily blend into your home decor. Definitely a high-end product as far as digital photo frames go!

Really like this digital photo frame!
I had heard of digital photo frames and wanted to get one to check them out. Because I had previously purchased a kid’s tablet from Dragon Touch and was thoroughly impressed with it, I decided to try the Dragon Touch Modern 10 Digital Picture Frame.Packaging:I’m kind of strange, but the look and feel of the packaging of products matters to me. The packaging of the Dragon Touch digital picture frame doesn’t disappoint. The packaging very much reminds me of my experiences with Apple computers/cell phones and Vizio TVs – everything that I need to get up and running quickly is right at my fingertips. You open up the box and our offered a very nice and colorful and easy to understand Getting Started guide, a card with website address to activate a free 2-year warranty, and a detailed User Manual. (note: User manual is in multiple languages – English, Spanish, French, German, Italian)And to top it all off, the digital frame comes with a pre-installed screen protector and a screen cleaning cloth – very nice touch!Setup:Very easy on screen instructions take you step-by-step through the process. Digital frame and accompanying app on iPhone were all ready to go within 30 minutes.Features:I really like the setting that allows me to put the digital frame on a OFF and ON schedule. I set mine up to turn on in morning so I can be greeted by pics of m y family while I’m having my morning coffee. Can add micro SD card and flash drive and display photos and videos from those as well. In the settings, you can adjust what photos are displayed – internal frame storage, micro SD, flash, or any combo of them.Frame comes with a magnetic charging adapter (like the Apple MacBooks from couple of years ago). And the cord is braided, not the regular pvc type of material – another nice touch.Frame also comes with a cable to use to transfer photos and videos from your computer to the digital frame. The cable has both USB-C and regular USB connectors. This dual connector cable allowed me to connect to both my MacBook Pro plus my older ThinkPad laptop.Transferring photos and videos to the frame:Photos and Video can be sent to the frame from your iphone using the OurPhoto app. You can also send photos to the frame via an @ourphoto.cn email address that you create during setup of the deviceYour family and friends can also send photos and videos to the frame. They just need to download the OurPhoto app to their iphone or Android phone, you give them your frame ID, and then they attach to your frame. I had my daughter and sister do this, so it does work! You can also attach the frame to your computer and transfer photos and videos to the frame. The frame comes with a PC Control setting that sets up an ftp transfer. I couldn’t get the ftp transfer to work on my MacBook Pro. BUT, no worries on this as I was able to use the Android File Transfer app (downloadable for free on the web). With Android File Transfer, you connect the frame to the MacBook and then you can drag and drop photos and videos to the frame. Transfer from the PC was easier as all I had to do was plug frame into USB drive and Windows 10 recognized it as an external drive.Overall: Very good digital photo frame that displays your photos and video with really good resolution. Will definitely be recommending this frame to my family and friends.

**Updated - Now Trash**
**Update - July 2021**So the app/email no longer works so we are unable to send photos remotely. It appears the server that uploads the photos no longer is working. The app says "successful" but the pictures never arrive to the frame. All attempts to reconnect/bind the frame work, but no pictures will transfer. As such, this frame is no longer any value to us, so into the trash it goes.**Original***Bought this frame to get setup and gift to my parents so they could see updated pictures of the grand kids, and so far everything is working great. We bought this frame because once it is connected to the WiFi, you can upload pictures from the Our Photo app and they will automatically display on the screen. So I bought the frame, setup everything and shipped it off to my parents. Once they received it, they just had to connect it to their WiFi (which wasn't too stressful to explain over the phone). Now that is connected, anytime I run the app, I can upload photos directly to the frame, from 7 states away. I have a reminder in my phone to do this monthly, so the grandparents can stay safe and still see updated pictures of the grand kids. (Super son gets the win in this gift).Initial setup took 3.75 minutes. The only issues was I didn't read the quick start guide and didn't realize I had to authorize the app in the frame settings. Once I figured that out, boom, everything worked great. The app (Our Photo) works fine for me. The low Play store (I'm using Android) rating was a bit concerning, but I haven't had any issues. The app let's you load 9 photos at a time, which can be annoying on initially loading the frame, but is perfectly fine for monthly updates. Oh, any you can add multiple devices. So my phone, the wife's phone, and the kids' tablets can all upload to the frame. Snazzy. The frame itself has usb, micro sd, and usb-c connections. I didn't try them because we were interested in the online usage. The power cord is pretty neat, connects magnetically, and acts as the stand. The frame does recognize it's orientation, so it will automatically adjust between portrait and landscape when it is rotated. There is an option in settings to zoom in pictures, which can be good or bad, it just depends if your kid's face is in the center of the picture or not. The zoom just cross the picture to make it does the frame by zooming in on whatever is in the center of the picture. This could result in fancy artsy pictures being cropped weird. You can certainly manually crop the pictures, but who has time for that? We we just leave zoom off. The frame automatically fill the entry space with the same color blue stuff that apple slideshow thing uses. The touchscreen is responsive and honestly the menus and settings are quite intuitive. My 7 yr old son had no issues adjusting the weather location, selecting pictures on my phone to upload, and adjusting the transition settings to what he though the grandparents would like.I guess if I had to complain about something it would be the screen protector, that says "peel here to remove" didn't come off when I pulled the sticker. Just the sticker came off. That could be a good thing, though, as now it has a screen protector which is easy to wipe fingerprints off.Overall, I (and my parents) really like this frame, and I think it would make a great gift for those family members a bit far away that you want to keep updated with family pictures.

A Picture Frame With An Android "Touch"
After wanting a digital picture frame for years, but being disappointed in their clunkiness and difficulty in adding / changing pictures, I think I finally found the one for me!The Dragon Touch Modern 10 is perfect for what I need. It's smart, easy to use, and the price is a good value for the number of features it includes. Here are my thoughts after using it for the past few weeks.Dragon Who?:I was initially unfamiliar with this brand, but a relative of mine had done a fair bit of research on highly rated budget Android tablets, and Dragon was a consistent headliner in quality and ease of use. With that endorsement in mind as well as my own research to make sure the brand was indeed a trustworthy company, I purchased this frame and installed the accompanying app.True, it's not from one of the "big" names out there, but one thing I've found after a few years of purchasing items from lesser known companies, is that there are several fantastic smaller consumer electronics companies like Akaso, Dragon, etc that not only make top notch products, but they also have superior customer service to the "big guys" like Samsung.I'd have no hesitation purchasing from Dragon again in the future.Ease of Setup:Ridiculously easy. It walks you through step by step. If you've ever turned on a smartphone and walked through that initial setup, it's like that. The one advantage, however, is that you don't have to sign in with your Google credentials or anything like that. It connects via the app on your phone (or via SD card or even USB-C), so your credentials stay secure on your smartphone.Ease of Use:I think the touchscreen adds a layer of functionality that was desperately needed in old digital picture frames. No clunky buttons, just an intuitive interface and easy means of customizing what content appears and how long it stays on screen.Picture Quality:The resolution on this is fantastic. 2K is a massive improvement over the 1080 or even 720 resolution so many "budget" picture frames use. It's a truly top notch display and its matte finish prevents fingerprints from the touch screen from being easily seen (if at all). The color temperature is a bit on the cool side, but it's not a deal breaker at all.Value:Lots of features packed in here. Too many to list here, but I'm still finding little extras and features I didn't know about when I purchased it.Pleasant Surprises:It has an internal battery which is GREAT! It can run via the included plug, or via the USB C cable, or even on battery power for several hours (depending on your settings). All in all, it's a competent, well built device from a company that will stand behind their products if you have any issues.

Nice picture frame, good purchase
The frame itself seems well made and the picture is very nice. I like that it has a slot for an SD card and can read from a USB drive. The charging cable is magnetic which is nice, and it also acts as part of the stand, and in fact it will not stand with out it, so even thought it has a battery built in, it will not stand without the charger, not a real problem because for my use it will always be plugged in. One small issue I have with the hardware is that you can not change the angle which it sits. For the locations that I would want it put it I would really like it angled at bit more than it is. This is subjective and probably fine for most uses. Other than the angle I don't really have any complaints about the hardware. I would have no issue recommending this to others. The software and app do need a little work, while it is functional it is just a bit confusing at times. It has the ability to upload pictures by sending them to an email address, while I think this is a useful feature the address that it is bound to is a .CN address, which means that the pictures are routed though china. If you are comfortable with that then the feature will work great for you. I think I will stick to uploading via USB. The other nice feature is that it will act as an FTP ("PC Control" from the menu) server and you can upload photos that way as well. I rather like this feature as it allows me to create my own software to pull photos from any email address, and that works very nicely for me. The one drawback of the "PC control" feature is that if the picture frame is turned off you have to turn PC control again, it does not remember that setting. The picture frame also has the ability to play video, but I could not test that as it would not play the videos that I uploaded from my iPhone. The frame will auto power off and on, so that during the night when no-one will be looking at the photos it will be drawing less power. The frame draws about 5 watts when on and about 1 watt while asleep, so it is worth turning on this setting.
