Mine came written in gold and was supposed to be chrome, as per the product description. Gave it to my son. I wanted the all chrome.

My factory plate bracket is the Cadillac bracket from Cadillac Canada and it fint perfectly inside. Quality is good

Does this plate size fit the cts model? i asked this because the product details say 14 x 8.3 x 1 inches, which seems rather too wide and too tall.

This should fit fine on your CTS. The plates are 6 x 12" like a regular license plate. The installation holes are 7" apart. The dimensions given in the add are wrong. I will be contacting Amazon about the incorrect information in the add.
