Q: Anyone else have hammer toes tried these?

The toe is wide enough. Should not be a problem.

Q: Are they appropriate for a Midwest Fall? Are there holes on the sides?

They would be fine for the fall, probably with socks. There are no holes in the sides.

Q: How are these shoes for a wider foot? I know the original Dansko was not a good fit.

I consider my foot to be average to wide, and these Danskos fit perfectly. I am on my feet 8 to 10hrs a day and they are comfortable.

Q: What r these like in Hot weather?

Have not had worn them in hot weather yet. Have worn them when it’s 70 out. Just like wear any sneakers. The shoes have vent holes near arch to let air in
