The Donner set with the damper system is a great idea.Untamed acoustic drums in the house are just too loud! I can't believe my family put up with me banging away in the basement years ago.Without the dampers activated, these Donner drums sound big and loud and great! The bass has a nice deep thump without being louder than the other drums.. I'm sure everyone who lives around me appreciates when I put on the dampers.With the dampers deployed, the Donner drums are now tamed and I can play them in the house.The drums which I ordered were delivered earlier than expected. Everything was in perfect condition and brand new unopened packaging. Seems to be good quality equipment that all fit together easily. Except the throne - which you'll want to upgrade. but at least it will get you started.The snare and two small toms were ready to go - the baffles installed and the heads on, which was nice.The kick pedal and hi hat are both surprisingly smooth, springy and responsive. I was expecting that I would have to upgrade both but that's not the case. Another pleasant surprise!Glad I got this Donner set. It's been fun buying it.Go on! Go for it!

Package came undamaged.. Nothing was missing or damaged. I ordered Black and got black. However description did not say it had sparkle in it and it definatley has what appears to be gold spakle. They are beautiful..The instructions hower are terrible but its most self explanatory. The only drums tha are not pre assembled are the bass and the floor tom.All the stands have to be assemebledThe dampers work and lower the sound a decent amount. However they are still semi loud and it is also dependant on force apllied. The cymbals are low volume cymbals but are pretty loud as well.All the drums need to be tuned but after a shkrt time they started sounding great. Will need some further time fine tuning the sound.Over all great drum kit for the price..

I bought this to learn and am very happy.Assembly wasn't that hard, though the instructions were a little off. It just took a little more time to figure out, but looking at pictures other people posted in their reviews helped me figure it out.Good beginner set with decent quality heads and sound. Cymbals are decent quality too.I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 due to assembly instructions not being that great. Plus, the drum throne tripod broke on me within a week. Had to go buy my own. That was better anyway because the throne that comes with it doesn't adjust too high, and I like to sit high. So be prepared to buy a different throne.

We ordered the red set for our son so he can practice at home since he plays with our worship team at church and is in band at school He will be 13 this year and it fits him well, and he can still grow into it. It shipped and delivered in a timely manner. There was no damage to the set or delivery box. All parts were there. I would say that the red is not red, it's a "burnt" orange color with glittering. But it was a happy mishap because we like the orange better honestly. The instructions are kinda vague like other people have said, but if you have a knowledge of how drums work/put together then you will be ok. If not, a quick YouTube search will benefit you greatly. It looks great, it sounds great,the price is great, and we are happy with it. And it really is a low volume set, which is easy on the ears for him and the family. (Since we don't have a sound proof room or anything professional like that.)

We picked this set up for our son who has been playing drums for about a year. We sold a previous kit to buy this one. He likes the sizes of the individual drum heads. Installation was easy enough with no problems.A couple things to note. The red is not actually red. It's definitely a burnt orange color with sparkles. We settled on red as our son didn't like yellow or blue and the didn't have black available. Very happy to see find the color wasn't actually red and he's very happy with the color.Also note that our bass drum did not have a port hole even though all the pictures show one. We'll have to see about how to carefully cut our own.The dampening system is fantastic. It still feels good playing but is much, much quieter. The quiet cymbals are also much quieter than the Zildjian cymbals he rotates in. So in the evenings he plays it in "quiet mode" and mom and dad don't crazy.We paid $414 for the set and are very happy with it.

Pros:There was no damage to the set during shipping! The set is actually very good quality for the pricing and the practice pads make playing in my apartment a BREEZE! I for sure recommend.(Slight) Cons:The Cymbals are still cymbals so depending on how you play they can be a bit loud.The kick drum is definitely still a high volume with or without the practice pad, but a dampener of some sort will straighten that out for sure.Over all I for sure recommend this set to someone who wants a regular acoustic set but can’t because of the amount noise they produce.Get the set dawg.

Very happy of the quality and ease of assembly.

Missing 2 floor tom legs and came with wrong ring for one side of the tom as well. Box came damaged and open. Drums themselves look okay. Sound okay for the ones I can actually play. Customer service has been impossible to get anything other than a general we are sorry message and won’t send me the parts I need. Would not buy again.
