Nice, basic lab scale
This is a nice, basic lab scale. It is sturdy and appears to be well made. Compact, portable and easy to use. The accuracy seems good. I took measurements of several items of known weight and the results are pretty spot-on. It even comes with a 200g calibration weight that you can use to verify the accuracy and to recalibrate if needed. The scale is powered by either an AC power adapter (provided) or 2 AAA batteries (not included). It comes with a removable clear plastic windshield, which is a nice touch. I like that the digital display is backlit and easy to read. It has the usual tare function and unit conversion, plus a counting function to calculate the quantity of identical items, which is handy for counting fasteners & hardware such as washers, bolts and nuts.Overall, I'm pretty impressed with this lab scale. It is compact, easy to use and seems pretty accurate. Easy to wipe clean and put away after use. It is a nice, basic lab scale for the money. It gets the job done.

Very precise and repeatable
I've used similar scales in college labs to measure powders for chemical synthesis. This scale compares favorably with the accuracy and the wind barrier. It's not as precise as the ones I used in lab but 0.01g is plenty accurate enough for most applications and it is accurate to +- 0.05g in my trials. Unlike the lab scales with similar enclosures, air movement isn't really an issue for this scale as it doesn't affect the measured value but it is nice to have an enclosure either way. The lab scales also have the opening on the sides while this has a lid, which makes it slightly more difficult to measure out substances with high precision. The enclosure pieces easily slides together and fits around the weighing platform snugly. The instructions aren't the best, but it seems to have a variety of features such as calculating the number of items based on a reference value. For example, you can set it so it knows what 25 of identical items weigh, then add identical items on the scale and it will calculate the total number of pieces. It's basically just skipping the calculator. It also has the ability to calibrate with standard weights. It includes a 200g metal weight that comes in as 200.50 grams based on the default tare. However, the default tare seems accurate enough as it is identical in measurements to my other scales, so the metal weight seems to really be 200.50 grams. You can run the scale with 2 AAA batteries or the included power wart. Overall, the instructions suck but it is easy enough to figure out how to operate and it works very accurately.

Inexpensive lab scale
This is a digital lab scale with 0.01g resolution. It comes with AC adapter, a box to block air movement, and a 200g calibration weight.I had trouble getting this scale to work since it didn't like any of my Eneloop batteries - every set I tried reported "Lo" and the scale shut off. I put in a conventional AAA cell (the only one I had) and got the scale to power up so I could try it.The AC adapter included with the unit was non-functional. It was rated at 5VDC but actually put out 1.8VAC. The scale would not power up with the adapter attached. The scale was easy enough to set up with the weighing cover, and it's also not too bad to tear it down again for storage.Once powered up the scale reported 200.27g for the calibration weight which is close but not quite perfect. Unfortunately I don't have any other calibration weights I can use for comparison so I don't have any way of telling whether the calibration weight is off or if the scale was miscalibrated at the factory. The scale will convert to several different units and is also capable of counting items of a known weight which is a nice feature if you need that sort of thing.I knocked off a star for the inaccurate calibration weight and/or inaccurate calibration and another one for the non-functional power adapter and battery finickiness.
