When I ordered this kit, I was planning to use my portable a/c unit in a shed so I could work on organizing it without dying of heat stroke during the Texas summer. I had not installed it yet when the a/c went out in my home. I remembered I had purchased this kit so I set the portable a/c up in my living room with it venting out the window. I drain the condensation the unit pulls from the air into a 5 gallon bucket. I am so thankful I already had the window vent kit when this happened because outside temps have been near or greater than 100 degrees during the days. I have managed to keep the open living/kitchen area at around 80 degrees. The vent kit was so easy to set up and the extra panels allow it to fit a range of window sizes. Just remember that you do need to purchase the hose separately. And I suggest purchasing a longer hose than you think you will need. It took nearly a month for my homeowner's warranty company to get a tech out to my home to determine the problem with my a/c. It will require replacement, so now it will be over a month that my a/c was out. Thank goodness for the portable a/c and this window vent kit!

Easy to put together. Works great.

The product itself is working just fine and would recommend. Only problem was that it was unnecessarily difficult to did the coupler onto the hose of my AC. It seemed to not fit (looked like a picture of one of the prior reviews complaining it didn’t for). After what felt like an eternity (probably 30-40 mins), I was able to finally twist couple onto the house far enough to hold and properly attach. The black foam seal comes off from time to time. No issues besides those 2 things and has held up great for past 2 months.

Nice replacement to the original kit that was cut to fit a window. Good value and quality.

This is definitely an upgrade from the smaller sliding plastic window thing that came with the AC, the adapters fit but the actual hose male end that twists into your hose doesn’t have a super tight fit in the plastic window piece, it works but I am not sure if it will fall out eventually

I had a unit and the window part broke. This was the only replacement I could find. It works but I had to tape up all the gaps along the window/casing it really doesn’t fit flush between a slide and the edge but there aren’t a lot of options. If you need a unit bad enough you’ll hillbilly rig and tape what you need because it’s slim pickings to find something.

I was worried this wouldn’t be tall enough for the intake tube like I purchased in the past and had to but wood to level it. Solved that awkward problem. Perfect and looks like good quality. I like how adjustable it is.

the extendable pieces makes covering the gap between the door and the frame a perfect fit, the seal tape helps cover tiny gaps between the kit and the frame/door itself, forming a good seal, and it looks even nicer than the original one provided by the portable aircon manufacturer!
