The compass I could never get to work correctly. Sometimes it would work, but sometimes it was off by over 30 degrees and the directions don't really help much. The calibration is pretty bad. But the tide watch is great and the temperature is also accurate if you put it into the water so I really liked that. Overall a great watch, just not for the compass. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but I do believe that a smart phone is better to use at this point for a compass. The only other drawback is durability over a 2 year wear. But I can tell that the watch has some good internals. Overall I give it 4 out of 5 because I'm having it repaired / restored and I wear it at the beach. It's great to know where to put your chair.
