There are 2 coloring sides in the book. One's solid pink and one's rainbow. There are 2 pens, you fill them with water and the color only shows up in the book. Seems fairly durable, comes with ABC stencil. Overall the kids are happy, ages almost 5 and 2 and a half yrs. We are taking this on a 26 hr road trip and will update afterward on durability. Update: so before the trip, I let the kids play with it for a few hours. There are permanent pink lines almost like scratch marks on the white inner "pages", where the water pen had turned it pink it basically looks like it never dried/erased. Just an FYI this may not be super durable.

This is a great, mess free travel item for young kids. We gave this to our two year old for a long road trip. The pen just fills with water, and they are able to doodle on the pad. The pad dries relatively fast, for more doodling. The pad fold up, with the pen attached inside, and will fit in the seat pocket.

We’ve had this for about four months and while it is still used some, the writing surface has become kind of muddled and not white and crisp any more. There is an elastic band to store the market inside which is great but if there is any water still in the market it can leak out and make the page wet and permanently can stain in some instances. Overall was great initially on some long plane rides but longevity is limited

This has been really fun for our little friend. It is very basic quality. But fitting for the price. No problems. Works great.

I think the LCD display ones would be a better purchase option. The kids seemed to get more frustrated with this one. I bought it for car rides. The issues we came across were the pen constantly needs water which I get cause its stored in a hot car. Kids pushed too hard and broke the pen then water leaked everywhere then they are upset about being wet. Lastly pen has water but the felt tip is dry.

Great for church or traveling

My 3 year old loves this. One side turns pink and the other rainbow when colored on with water. She sometimes soaks it and it always dries out fine! Coloring and painting fun with no mess is a win!

We had a short road trip with an infant and twin 4 year olds. I had the brilliant idea that they would enjoy a dry erase board during the ride. What I had not planned on was their giving themselves tattoos with the dry erase markers on their face. Did I mention we were going to a wedding? On the way home my husband had a long talk with them about drawing on the dry erase board only. He felt he had gotten through to them. So he gave them back their markers and the dry erase board. 10 minutes in and it looked like they were trying their hand at clown makeup. It was in that moment I jumped on amazon to find something that would save us from this outcome again in a week on our way to the beach. These boards were great. They were occupied and when they decided to try to draw on themselves it was only water. Thank you.
