Can the twin rods that attach to the wall be shortened? I'm wondering if there is already a rubber gromlet inserted into the ends prevent shortening

It arrived in a timely manner. Looked good in the box. Directions were ok. However, about 9/10's through the installation the last part of the installation to the ceiling, the section from the oval rod to the ceiling didn't keep the rod from disconnecting. I cannot personally recommend the product based on that and that alone. We had high hopes for it but it didn't pan out.

Any way to add a foot to the full length, of its installed only 3/4 of the shower can be used.

I don’t think so. Our claw tub is against a wall so it does only cover 3/4 of the tub.,
