Really Heats up Pool
This is my 2nd Pool Solar cover. It lasted 5 years and started to fall apart. So I bought another one. Between the sun and the chlorine of the pool, it takes a beating. I also have the roll up device for this cover. You simply take the solar cover and place on top of your pool (bubbles down) and cut it to the shape of your pool so it lies directly on the water. I have the one end attached to my roll up device and it's so each to roll it up and pull it back out. I usually put it away with tarps and bungee cords for the winter to keep it nice. I'll put my new one together spring of 2024. It really makes your swimming season longer. I live in Concord, CA so it gets pretty hot here. 90s and 100s all summer. With the solar cover on my pool is like a bath tub...89 to 96 degrees.

Buy The 1200 Series Instead!
I previously had a 1200 Series pool cover, also by Sun2Solar, and it was fantastic. It lasted 4+1 years: 4 years in perfect condition, but the last year required trimming to remove the tattered portions (still did the job). Based on advice in a “pool maintenance forum”, I replaced it with an 800 Series cover just over one year ago. That cover is already going into the trash. The first problem is that the material is so light, it clings to itself like saran-wrap, which makes putting on much more difficult. However, the worst thing is the poor durability. This cover is literally falling apart in my hands and leaving plastic particles all over the pool. The extraordinary wear isn’t due to high chlorination, as I started using Pool Rx last summer, which allows me to keep the chlorine lower that in the past. Also, I’ve been storing it on the reel in a new location that provides shade during peak sunlight hours. The old 1200 Series had neither of those advantages, and still dramatically outlasted the 800 Series. This is the worst purchase I’ve made in many, many years. Do yourself a favor and pay the few dollars extra for the 1200 Series, which I heartily endorse.

Heated my pool in 2 days.
This is a great solar cover. It is light enough for me to be able to put it over the pool by myself. But yet it is heavy enough I think it will last a long while. Very happy with this product. It heated my pool within 2 days.

Okay, but not long lasting
It seems to be made well, but only expect one season. If you can roll it back daily to limit the sun exposure it should be ok. We had left it on during the day more than usual and it caused some deterioration. We barely made the season. Suggest you get the thicker version.

Does the job
Thinner than the 1st 800 series I bought 3 years ago, it should do the trick, may just invest in the best with the 10 year warranty…however the warranty is really good!

Cheaply made
This is the 3rd time I’ve bought one of these pool covers, and this one is the thinnest one I’ve had. It is cheaper quality but not in price.

Very thin
I have used solar covers for years. And this company makes good ones. I have found that they don't last (like most people) and I'm okay with that. Against the cost of an automatic cover it's a no brainer. I use the trouble free pool method so I keep my chlorine levels higher. No algae and trouble-free clear water yes, but solar covers lasting that long no.I have bought a 1600 and 1200. They both last me a year and then maybe half. Then they start falling apart and the plastic pieces are everywhere. So I adopted a new strategy. I'll replace them every year. They never fall apart and I never have to worry about drying/storing for the winter. Use it and toss. So this year I went one step farther and decided that as long as it was one year and toss, I'd buy the cheapest one.Uh....no. As soon as I opened it, I could tell it was noticeably thinner than the others. But who cares...only a year. I opened my pool April 25 and it went on that day. August 17 and it's ripping (which no other cover had before this) and the bubbles are disintegrating at an unbelievable rate. It didn't make it a year. Now I just ordered the 1600 in the hope that it will last the rest of this year and next, which I think it will.I live in an area with very high winds, and in the past as long as I threw a couple of used chlorine bottles a quarter full of water on the cover, it didn't go anywhere. This one is so light if the jets were pointed up it was pushed to the middle. In the wind I have to pull it over the edge and hold it down with cinder blocks. I have never had to put bottles on the reel side. This year I have three or four bottles on the reel side as well to hold it down against the wind.Great solar covers, just steer clear of the 800.
